I have been having the most ridiculously vivid dreams while on vacation. I suppose it's all the fresh air that I'm not used to. My brain is misinterpreting it as crack.

Anyway, last night's dream was Suits-themed.

I've always been too lazy to try to keep up with both LJ and DW, but I really have to rethink that now with the recurring DDOS attacks on LJ. I can't go three days without fannish connection. My hands start to shake. So. Crossposting it is.

I slacked on writing new stuff this month. I only wrote one story this month, but I did tons of editing, which I really needed to do.

--Finished and posted a bandom story.

--Edited my bandombigbang story and got the first draft in on time. I still need to make another round of edits before the final deadline at the end of May. I can't wait for the stories to go live! I read all the descriptions and was pleased to find a lot of Pete/Patrick stories. Yay!

--Edited my original m/m hooker story and submitted on time to the anthology. Cross your fingers for me! I should know in a few weeks whether it was accepted or not.

--Edited and did some more writing on my original advertising m/m romance. I should have it in good enough shape to send out to my wonderful volunteers in a few weeks.

--Started a new story for another original m/m anthology, this one based on fairy tales. I'm doing "The Twelve Dancing Princesses," because it's my favorite, as you might be able to tell from this and this. *g*

I'm hoping to get more new writing done in May.

It finally feels like spring here in the dreary Northeast. And I'm celebrating with a poll! Feel free to share more of your sappy thoughts about your favorite pairing in the comments if you like. :)

So I thought I should report back to the Cobra Starship enablers on my flist and let you know that I've listened to Viva La Cobra! every day on the way to work for, like, two weeks now. And as I'm typing this, I have "One Day Robots Will Cry" playing in my head. (I totally didn't realize that's where the title for that Lovebot!Patrick story came from, btw.) And I can't wait for their new album. And I was actually entertaining the notion of reading some Gabe/Bill last night, but I was too sleepy and went to bed instead. But I still might read some later. And linzeestyle has totally convinced me that G.a.b.e. is a good guy, and it makes me sad now when he's the creepy villain in bandom stories!

Oy.

In other news, I still can't find Panic at the Disco remotely interesting. Sorry! I know that's totally sacrilege. And I really would like to have them be characters in my Pete/Patrick Pride & Prejudice AU, so I'm trying to get over my disinterest. I used to not find Cobra Starship interesting either, so it could happen.

I'm watching Pride and Prejudice tonight (the Colin Firth version, naturally), and of course I'm always thinking about Pete and Patrick, and the two things started mingling together in my head. So now I'm trying to figure out how I could make a Pete/Patrick P&P AU work.

I'm excited about DW. I think it's important to have fan-friendly spaces, and I like to support the work of other fans. At the same time, I'm not giving up on LJ. My plan is to use both journals in tandem (and hopefully I'll find ways to make that simple, because simple is what I need *g*) until there's some reason not to do that anymore.
