I need a break!

I've been working very hard this week, peoples. Much harder than usual! Tonight, I'm having dinner with [livejournal.com profile] bexless and [livejournal.com profile] barely_bean, so that will be good. Something to look forward to! But in the meantime, I need a break.

I didn't have time to do that "give me a title and I'll tell you about the story" meme, but I wanted to, and now I'm have time. Or, at least, I'm making time.

So:

Comment with the title of a story that doesn't exist, and I'll tell you about that imaginary story, maybe even write a little snippet. Feel free to include a fandom and pairing, any fandom, I'll figure something out.

Anyone else need a break on a Friday? Come out and play!

Oh, neat....

I am giving everyone romance novel-esque titles, here's yours:

Seduction of a Scottish Prince - Clex

Romance novels are always fun!

From the back cover of Seduction of a Scottish Prince:

Rebellion is afoot in a distant corner of the Scottish kingdom. Prince Alexander is dispatched by his father to regain order, and expects his royal presence will quickly quell the disquiet. Little does he realize that the Clan of Kent is not so easily intimidated. When Prince Alexander is kidnapped by Clark, the dashing son of the Kent's leader, the king refuses his ransom. Will Prince Alexander pay the ultimate price for his father's betrayal? And will the irresistible pull between the prince and the young rebel change both their lives forever?

An excerpt:

The spark in Clark's green eyes was faintly mocking. "So it seems your father doesn't care to have you back."

Alexander pressed his lips into a thin, grim line. He knew, of course, what happened to captives who weren't ransomed, and he had to wonder if this had been his father's plan all along, an easy way to be rid of him and make Lucas heir in his stead.

Clark took a step closer. "Since it seems you're going to be with us for a while, you should know that every man pulls his weight in our clan." He took one of Alexander's hands in his, turned it over between his palms. "Soft. I bet you've never done an honest day's work in your life."

Alexander pulled himself up to his full height, ready with an indignant response.

But Clark cut him off before he could begin, "That's all right." His eyes traveled lazily over Alexander's body, making Alexander feel strangely too warm. "I suspect there are other ways you can earn your keep..."

HAHAHA!!!

YES!

The truly sad thing is that I have read and probably have on my book shelf 5 or 6 (10 or 20) books with the same kind of blurb on the back.

I am now imagining torrid night where Prince Alexander and Clark circle around one another and stealing kisses; other Kent Clan member Whitney and/or young Lass Chloe also wanting more from the out of his depth prince, making Clark jealous; ending with a handfasting where Clark and Lex join the Clan and the kingdom, quelling the rebellion all while wearing a ring of flowers.

Neat.

I love your rest-of-the-story! It's perfect. King Lionel is thwarted by peace, love and understanding, and Prince Alexander and Clark of the Clan of Kent ride off into the sunset together. Love it!
