Your Lex is a sadist, as well as plain old evil! I actually feel sort of sorry for Helen in this snippet. *g*

I really like how you've pitched this story - there's just enough humour to make you smile, just enough creep to make you shiver. Horror and humour work terrifically well together, and you've got the tone just right.
