My night was rained out...so I'm taking requests

I had planned to meet a friend for dinner, but she was feeling blue and at loose ends today, so we met for lunch instead. She needed something to get her out of the house. I was all geared up to watch the Yankees game, even though they sucked really bad last night, but the game got rained out. So now I'm at loose ends. Tried working on "Al," but I've come to a hard part in the story, and I just don't wanna.

So I'm digging up that old two-line story thing that was going around. I didn't have time to participate then, but tonight I've got nothing but time. So if there's anyone else around, and you'd like a short little story, leave me a comment. Give me a fandom, a charcter/pairing, and a one-word prompt, and I'll see what I can do.

I'm willing to attempt something in these fandoms:
Smallville, Veronica Mars, The 4400, Sentinel, Sports Night, Master and Commander, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Cold Case, Supernatural, Numb3rs, Medium, Prey, and The Pretender. Feel free to suggest something else. If I know it, I'll try it.

Funny you should mention this. I happen to be re-watching The 4400 miniseries / first episodes. I'm remembering how much I heart Shawn in these episodes. I just started the episode that introduces Jordan Collier -- I screamed with delight at the end of the last episode of the season. So, if you're in the mood, I would love to see anything about Jordan and Shawn (past or re-united future).

I'm also big into Smallville these days. I'm a major Lex Luthor fan. My poor Lex is in a bad way these days -- he didn't think it could get worse than Belle Reve, but lo and behold, it's spiraling out of his control (and he hates that!). So any Lex stuff from the current eps or from his time in Belle Reve would be an interesting read, too.

In a recent discussion, it was remarked that Chloe can hold her own with Lex in a contest of wits. I think it would really get under Clark's skin to find out that something had happened between them in the past (a "3rd wheel" bonding moment perhaps?) or for him to see something happening while he is so wrapped up in Lana -- and he would be surprised how much it bugs him.
