Vegas was cute, and nice ending. I particularly liked the second section:
John can't remember the last time he forgave someone for crossing that particular line with him
It's refreshing to see it from this angle, where it's showing how much John cares that he forgives Rodney, not the usual view that he is evil for making Rodney work for it at all.
Small comment: I would cut out maybe a paragraph's worth about Mad Dog, just to keep the focus on John (and Rodney). Please don't take it the wrong way; I only offer the critique because I like it. :)
