Wonderful first bit (Carson doing obstectric rounds: wow. I can just *see* that, too!) but I really really reallllyyy liked the second. Didn't think I would, but you surprised me. I - like so many others - forgot about Kavanagh.

From a medical POV you did a really good job with the C-section, though. I've only seen one so far (and one vaginal birth - too cool): but I'm all with Carson, babies are *slippery*! I didn't get to hold one, but they come out all purple and alien-looking, and it's freaky the first time.

Wonderful job! Sorry to hear this arc will be ending soon, but I'm hoping that when the muse strikes you we'll get a future-fic or two ;-)
