New story. Het. Weird.

I was really powerfully struck by Martha in "Insurgence." But I'm a slow writer, and it's taken me all this time to finish the story I wanted to write about her.

Just a side note. When I was getting ready to post it, I realized: Hey, this is het! I've never written het fan fiction before. It's a little disorienting, frankly.

Anyway, here it is.

Thanks, Lady T! I'm so glad you liked it. :) I love Martha, even though she's painfully underused on the show. And I really enjoyed trying to imagine what she was like as a girl.

I loved the detail in this story, all the little minutae that make a picture clear and real.

I also thought you did an excellent job capturing the difference between the young Martha and the wife and mother, the added maturity in her thinking.

Hey, thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I love Martha. And it was so interesting to think about what she might have been like as a girl and what she struggles with as a woman.
