Damn that [community profile] crack_van!

I really refuse to be interested in HP fandom. I do! And yet, that damned, insidious, porn-peddling [livejournal.com profile] crack_van has enticed me to read two HP stories recently that I really, really liked.

Today, it was Potio by Seeker. It's about Snape and Lockhart, neither of which I particularly like. Snape is so mean and kind of physically repugnant, and Lockhart is...well, Lockhart. But they're such an unlikely pair that I was intrigued and went to read it, and it's really quite an amazing story about humility learned the hard way, mercy carefully concealed, and ultimate redemption.

Then, a while back I read this seriously hot Ginny/Bellatrix story. F/f stories don't usually do it for me, but whoah mama was this one hot.

It's God of the Well-Plowed Field by [livejournal.com profile] nicolae.

*shakes fist at Crack Van*

you are growing sleepy, when you wake up you will be sucked into the madness that is HP...

Any time you want some good HP recs, let me know. I've got everything from the fluffiest fluff to the angstiest angst.

I'm not sure if I should warn you about the HP fandom sucking you in or encourage it in the hopes that you'll write it at some point.

The angel and the devil on each of my shoulders is battling it out right now.

Personally, I blame [livejournal.com profile] hackthis. She totally made me read stories I didn't want to read. And then when I read all of hers, I had to go through her rec list...and then through rec lists of people she recced.

It's horrible! I told myself I would never ever read in that fandom...and now I do.

The shame. The shame.

Don't go here (http://www.somedistantgalaxy.com/hpfics.htm). Just because Snape/Lockhart is one of my favorite closet pairings.

There's a reason they call it Crack Van, sweetie.

I was dragged against my will into SV. They were peddling well written slash fic, damn them.

HP is an insidious fandom. You read on out of curiosity and then you realize there are so many possible pairing or magical possibilities that the next thing you know you're hanging out in over a two dozen lists/lj's/authors pages. You find out you have favorite stories from Snape/Neville, Harry/Draco, Ron/Snape or ..... It's madness I tell you. From the darkest of dark, achingly painful, sharp and full of wit, to the hilarious there seems to be endless possibilities.

Seeker has written many good Snape/Harry fics if you want to read them. I'm an HP/SS (Severus Snape) and HP/LM (Lucius Malfy) fan so I can give you fic recs if you want them.

Oh my god! I *LOVE* Ginny/Bellatrix. I have irrational Ginny hate normally, but G/B is all kinds of twisted right. Her insanity is just...*hot*. And I love her with Sirius. That capability for muder and violence=eeeeee! This is what I love about HP, so many characters, so many parings :) I know I talk about H/D a lot, but seriously, Ginny/Bellatrix, Snape/Lupin, Snape/Draco, Draco/Cho, Draco/Zach, Oliver/Harry, Fred/Harry/George is teh crack.
