Nathan! Wow. I didn't really think there were going to go there. Oh, show! You make me smile. I do truly feel for the Peter/Claire shippers because those two really were charming together. But as one of the unholy who enjoys the 'cest on the show, it does make me cackle. Oh, Petrellis! Why must you spark to each other in a way you just don't with other people? That and super powers must lurk in your DNA, just waiting for an opportunity to come out.

Actually, I realized the truth about Claire's parentage when Peter healed himself by thinking of this cute girl in Texas with the sad smile. I knew he had to be her uncle! That's just how this show rolls.

The whole thing with Hiro and his sister totally charmed me.

Niki's storyline was less boring to me than usual! Yay for psycho!Jessica taking over. Although...the preview for next week's ep gave me concerns.

I really thought that Simone and Isaac were having a pretty innocuous moment there on the roof. Get over it, Pete. We know it's all about Nathan for you anyway! I mean, seriously. The fact that Claude kept coming back to Nathan as the person that Peter was too obsessed with to work his superpower mojo properly just made me SMILE.

Why does Isaac remember Mr. Bennett? Am I just forgetting something? Oh my God! Did the Haitian get to me??????

The part with Sylar and Mrs. Bennett scared the pee out of me.

I was worried that Claire's bio mom was going to turn out to be bad in some way, but she seems well-meaning so far. I LOVED that she showed Claire her power in return. I was afraid for a second she wasn't going to.

Zack and Claire continue to be cute together. Not that it isn't annoying that they waved the magic wand and undid his gayness. But...I could ship them. They're cute! I can't help it!!!

Wow, I have a lot to say for an episode that had Nathan in it for, like, two seconds. That must be a new record.

Oh my God! Nathan is Claire's father!!!!!! I can't wait for next week's ep, and I really can't wait until Peter finds out. I just have to say it one more time. OH, PETRELLIS!!!!!!

Also, I still don't like Claire's mom. I don't trust her and frankly, I think she started that fire.

OMG! This show is giving us EXTRA opportunities to go to hell. I mean, can you imagine how complicated Peter's reaction is when he finds out that Nathan is Claire's father? It...makes my head explode!!!

Re: Claire's mom. *nods* Yes, yes, she could still turn out to be bad. I assume she did start the fire, but I was thinking maybe she did it accidentally because she was just getting her powers and she didn't know how to control it. And the reason that she's wandered around so lost is that she thought she killed her own daughter.

But, hey, she could still turn out to be teh EVOL!

Maybe having Claire trigger the powers?

That's very plausible! And she wasn't able to control the powers. And the fire. And she thought she killed her daughter.

Isaac was in rehab when Bennett came to him and offered him some heroin so he could continue painting the future. He wanted to know what was going to happen to Claire and save her. I think that is the only time they met.

Hmm. I remember Issac being in rehab and the whole Eden thing, but I guess I just assumed that they would have wiped Issac's mind the way they did all the rest of them. But...he's reporting in to Mr. Bennet and he specifically mentioned Sylar. I guess Bennett decided to use him as an information source? And that's why he left his memory intact?

Oh, yeah, you're right. I don't remember any other time Isaac met Bennett.

I love and respect this show so much -- not just for giving me more and truly lovely dirty wrong, but because they don't shirk away from the truth of their own setup. They own their mythos and go to the hard places - I mean even without those of us immersed in the dirty wrong, on various NBC affiliated websites Peter/Claire was a pairing in Super Couples polls and what not. The fact that even inadvertently they were sort of advancing the incest, made of awesome!

*nods* It's so true! This show really doesn't dance around things. In fact, it's deliberately provocative. I mean, there was some serious chemistry between Peter and Claire in those scenes. It makes sense that they'd be a pairing on the Super Couples poll, and according to what I've read from Tim Kring, they planned to have Nathan be the daddy from day one. How COOL is that? Yays!!!!

Dude, the Petrellis are one insanely chemistry-having family. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing. If a little incest doesn't bother the Nathan/Peter shippers, then why should it bother the Peter/Claire sect, really? It's fanfic! You can make it work!

I couldn't believe it. I so desperately wanted Nathan to be Claire's father because the dirtybadwrong on this show makes the fanfic SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fucking hot and delicious. And, of course, sicksicksick. But I was absolutely sure that they were going to make it someone else. The whole hour I was waiting for the reveal (and enjoying the hell out of the episod, because Claude and Peter? That was some kick ass television right there). When they finally showed Nathan's face I couldn't contain my joy. I was yelling with so much glee I shudder to think what the neighbors figured was going on in here. ;-)

I was also totally convinced that the preview was just this huge tease to make us think that Nathan was the daddy and then it would actually be someone else. So I actually managed to be surprised when we had that final reveal.

I can't wait for next week's ep! It looks like there will be much Nathan, and that's a very, very good thing. :)

Don't forget Sulu's license plate read "NCC 1701". That's a squeal worthy moment. :)

Oh my God! Thank you for pointing that out. I totally missed it the first time and went back and watched the ep again. And eeeeeeeee! The people who make this show obviously have a hell of a good time with it, and that makes it so much fun for us. Yay show!

It's spinning in the back of my brain. Like a lot. This is what I just told my friend, W:

I'm coming around to the Peter side. Seriously. Mostly because I see all kinds of crazy-ass drama when Nathan finds out that Claude's trying to usurp him and Peter's probably going to wet himself when Nathan decides to throw down.

Also, I confess, the getting thrown off the roof thing REALLY did a lot for our relationship. The previously-non-existent one with Claude went from zero to infatuation and the one with Peter went from derisive tolerance to 'Oh, hey, Angry!Peter is way with the hot. And also, he just got killed. AGAIN. How traumatic is that shit?'

You know he wants to go find Nathan and be like 'Comfort me! Right now dammit! I just died. AGAIN!' Only Nathan has his own drama going on and Peter's supposed to be invisible, but he keeps fucking flicking on and off like a light switch.

The Petrellis are giving the Supernatural boys a run for their money~ Even Claude can't stop talking about how important Nathan is to Peter. Simone and Isaac hug like friends do and Peter is all 'Betrayed!' but Nathan tells the world Peter is suicidal just to advance his career and Peter goes off at Claude when he disses Nathan... It must be true love!

The Haitian can erase gayness too. Really. It's part of his mojo...

*nods* There was much slashiness in the way Peter and Claude were talking about Nathan. Don't you think the people who make the show have to know what they're doing? I mean, that couldn't be an accident, could it?

Zack's gayness - I was a bit unsure about whether or not he's gay or bi or questioning etc. because the only place where it's been mentioned so far (I've only seen through ep 11) is when Jacky uses it as an insult. So, not exactly an unbiased opinion there. What happens in this ep re: Zack and Claire and questionable gayness?

Re: Zach's gayness. You know, you're right. I always just accepted that Zach was actually gay, but that could have just been a very typical high school kind of insult.

Nothing really happens with the questionable gayness in this episode, although Zach and Claire are spending a lot of time together, and it's looking all intimate and stuff. On the other hand, Zach was wearing The Shirt of Utter Gayness in the ep. So...I guess it's all still questionable. *g*

Petrellicest: now in all flavours! I'm very happy about this for plot reasons as well (I think there's so much potential for bonding, and interaction between the three of them), but on a shallower level? Petrellicest, YAY!

Claire's mom seemed to be very cool, and she really took to Claire, which is great. I hope we see more of her.

But...I could ship them. They're cute!
So cute! I hoped for some snark from Zach in this episode, but one can't have everything. Next episode, hopefully.
