It's still Wednesday. And we're still drabbling...

I'm not sure what happened to the [livejournal.com profile] wednesday100 today, but [livejournal.com profile] catmoran has issued her own challenge:

Characters from Smallville in the setting of another TV show. With or without alien/mutant influenced characteristics.

Fun!

Here's mine:

The Great Detective A. Joseph Luthor...He Doesn't Exist

It seemed like a brilliant idea to borrow the name for his detective agency--until A. Joseph Luthor showed up one day, not at all dead from his plane crash, talking about lawsuits and acting like he owned the place.

"What do you want?" Clark demanded.

"To be partners, just until we find my wife and my missing money. Then it's all yours again. Deal?"

"Deal." Not that he had any choice.

Luthor's hand settled on his ass. "I know we're going to make a great team, Kent."

Clark blushed fiercely. He knew he was in way over his head.

Perfect. I loved Remington Steele.

I loved it, too! And I figure instead of always quoting old movies Lex can turn to Greek drama for help in being a detective. *g*

Awwwh Remy!!

mwuh, I liked this.

I'm so glad you liked it, doll! I know I'm dating myself by picking Remington Steele, but I loved that show! :)

That man was so sexy. I loved all the cast members...too damned funny.

*snerk!*

I love this! Very silly!

Hee! I'm glad you liked it, Janet!

I thought Lex would make a great fake detective. *g*

*grinning like crazy here*

Pierce Brosnan was the supreme crush of my high school self. :)

The junior high crush was Christopher Reeve of course.

Me too! On both accounts.

I still find the setup on Remington Steele incredibly romantic. And I think it would fit Clark and Lex to a tee! :)

Adorable!

*hugs* Thanks, doll! I do have all these scenes in mind. I just might write so more!

Yay! I'm glad you liked it!

I don't really know what brought Remington Steele to mind, but I do enjoy when the boys solve crimes together. :)

[identity profile] fleegull.livejournal.com 2004-02-18 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a sucker for having Clark and Lex working as detectives! I wish that there was a way to get them to work together dammit!!! And this would be such a perfect setting for them to have hot monkey sex do good for the community at large.

Re:

[identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a sucker for that, too! They're so good when they're having hot money sex solving crimes together. *g*

I imagine Lex being very sexy and bossy as he practically takes over Clark's business. Hmm. I may have to write more of this...

[identity profile] isagel.livejournal.com 2004-02-18 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Bwahahaha! As a deeply devoted Remington Steele fan, I adore you for writing this. I almost want an entire story now. Wait, strike the 'almost'. ;)

Re:

[identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
I loved that show, too! I found it just ridiculously romantic--especially for such a ridiculous premise. :)

I probably am going to be writing more of this. It's such a good opportunity for Lex to use his wiles on Clark.

[identity profile] garryowen.livejournal.com 2004-02-18 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
*wiggles* Hee. I LOVED this show to death when I was a kid! Grr! So glad you chose it! Love it!

Re:

[identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
I was a huge fan of the show, too! Although, sadly, I was not a kid when it was on. *g*

Glad you liked this, doll!

[identity profile] neerod.livejournal.com 2004-02-18 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh... memories. *snicker* Nice to know I was not the only one who adored that show. And Pierce. *melts*

And really, that is the start of a WiP, right?!? Soo lovely...

Re:

[identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
I totally adored it! I thought Pierce was hotter than a hot, hot, hot thing. And Lex has that same sort of suave sexiness. I can really see him in a similar role. Yum!

You know, it just might be the start of something here. :)

[identity profile] cosmic.livejournal.com 2004-02-18 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I want to marry you now. That was. Eeee! Way to use my most favouritest ever tv show in such a fun way. HEE! And, I might be willing to bribe you with just about anything if you wrote more of that. Because. EEE!

Re:

[identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Awwww! *hugs* I'm glad you enjoyed it. And so happy I'm not the only Remington Steele fan out there!

I have lots of ideas about this, and I do expect to write more. Thanks for the encouragement, doll!

[identity profile] catmoran.livejournal.com 2004-02-18 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
omg, I so loved that show when I was in high school! And Lex can only improve it. {g}

Re:

[identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
I loved that show, too! I always found it so romantic, so of course I thought of Clark and Lex. :)

Thanks for the great challenge, Cat! I had so much fun with it.

[identity profile] lapetite-kiki.livejournal.com 2004-02-18 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I don’t know Remington Steele but it doesn’t change the fact that I really love this drabble! :-)

Re:

[identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yay! I'm glad it makes sense even if you haven't seen the show. It was hard to explain the situation in only 100 words!

[identity profile] mayphoenix.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
Woo hoo! Another of my old faves! Hee! Love this!

Damn -- now I wanna see a series of stories set in this universe! :)

Re:

[identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
I felt very nostalgic writing this! I was a huge fan of that show.

And, you know, you may just get your wish. I have all these Clark and Lex as detectives ideas floating through my head. *g*

[identity profile] giddyfangirl.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Dude! You cast my current fangirl obsession as my original fangirl obsession!! *dies*

{If you have thoughts of adding to this, I wouldn't mind at all.)

Re:

[identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com 2004-02-19 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I loved Pierce too! In fact, I thought he was the slinkiest, suavest thing I'd ever seen on TV until I tuned in to Smallville.

And I do have thoughts of continuing this. I'm glad you're into the idea!
