I'm really supposed to be doing other things today, but I saw this meme on [livejournal.com profile] celli's LJ, and I just HAD to request more Matt/Mohinder. So…now it's my turn.

MEME: The first fifteen people to comment on this post get to request a drabble from you. In return, they have to post this meme in their journal. Post all fandoms you’re willing to write for.

Fandoms: SGA, Supernatural, Smallville, Heroes, Gossip Girl, JeteRod, or hey, if you want something else, give it a whirl. If I can do it, I will. If not, you can pick something else.

ETA: That's it. My 15 requests. Thanks all for playing!

Hee!

I'm happy for all my HP-loving friends on their big day. But I feel a little left out on LJ today. So I thought of a game we Smallville peeps can play.

The Smallville Drabble-a-Thon

Our show offers so much to stir our drabble-writing imaginations, whether it's the long, lingering glances between Clark and Lex in pretty much every episode in S1, Pete checking out Chloe's ass in the rearview mirror in "Rush," or the Lionel-in-Clark lust for mamma Martha in "Transference."

Every episode of Smallville gives us something to write about, a missing scene to add, a wrong we'd like to right. So I propose a drabble-a-thon that does just that. Below you'll find a comment with the name of every Smallville episode that's ever aired. Choose one and write a drabble based on that episode. When you're done, leave it as a comment to the episode title. If you're having fun, do another one! My goal is to have a drabble for each one, so the drabble-a-thon will go on as long as that takes. *g*

Come on out and play! You know you want to. If you don't want to write a drabble yourself, have fun reading them and be sure and leave the authors some love in the comments to their drabble. And please, help spread the word!

And to my lovely HP friends, if you need a break, we'll be here.

ETA: By drabble, I mean something short enough to fit into the comments. It doesn't have to be exactly 100 words, although it can be, if that's what you prefer. Have fun with it!

Here's a running list of drabbles we have so far:
Pilot
Metamorphosis
X-Ray
Cool
Hourglass
Craving
Jitters

This is a reminder that the new Veronica Mars drabble community [livejournal.com profile] tuesday100 will launch tomorrow. We're working on getting some nifty art for it, thanks to the lovely and talented [livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis. And I have a long list of possible debut drabble topics that I'm trying to whittle down.

I hope all the VM fans on my flist will come out and support it. Write a drabble. Read some drabbles. Leave comments if you're so inspired. Should be fun!

To post a drabble, you need to be a member of the community. Go to the community user info to get all the details and to join the community or add it to your friends list.

Please pimp to anyone interested in VM! And thanks!

I've been emboldened by all the interest in the recent Veronica Mars drabble challenge that [livejournal.com profile] fairy_tale_echo and I held. So I've created a new community for weekly VM drabbling. It's called Tuesdays in Neptune, and you can find it at [livejournal.com profile] tuesday100. Not that there's much to see there right now. It will officially launch with the first challenge this coming Tuesday, around 11 p.m. Eastern time. Go to [livejournal.com profile] tuesday100 info for rules and details.

I hope all you Veronica Mars fans out there will join the community and participate. Write drabbles. Read and leave comments and suggestions. Please pimp this in your own LJ. I'd love to see this thing take off!

Yesterday, [livejournal.com profile] fairy_tale_echo and I extended a Veronica Mars drabble challenge.

Go here for details and for links to the drabbles submitted so far.

We've had some wonderful answers to the challenge. Yay! And to hopefully entice more of you to participate and because the lovely [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn asked, I'm extending the deadline until midnight Friday.

That's 100 words. More than 36 hours to write them. When has a challenge ever been so simple? *smiles encouragingly*

So [livejournal.com profile] fairy_tale_echo and I have issued a VM drabble challenge for today. You can read about it here.

This is my answer to the challenge (spoilers for Weapon of Class Destruction):

Calling all Veronica Mars fans!

The lovely [livejournal.com profile] fairy_tale_echo had a brilliant idea. She declared that the entire VM community should write a drabble about a certain scene from last night's ep. You know the one I'm talking about.

For the benefit of those who haven't seen the ep yet, I'm putting the exact challenge behind cut-tags.

Get your challenge here! Along with spoilers for Weapon of Class Destruction. )

It's such a great topic. You know you want to play. Write your drabble and post it to your LJ by noon tomorrow. Comment with a link here if you'd like. And I encourage everyone to use cut tags since the ep is so new. It will be like a secret cut-tag drabble society. *g*

Oh, and please pimp in your LJ! The more people who take part the better. Only 100 words. And for such a good cause! :)

This is for [livejournal.com profile] sn100, the Sports Night community, my first stab at SN drabbling. The topic is: routine.

Lucky Number Seven

I suspect I'll soon be writing Master and Commander drabbles, too.

I seem to be well on my way to becoming a fandom whore. *g*

It's time for the [livejournal.com profile] wednesday100 once again, and today's theme is tests, investigations, experiments of every sort. I found it quite inspiring.

I wrote this stand-alone drabble:

Pet Project

And also these continuations of my earlier Hooker!Lex drabble in which Lex is a rebellious teenager and Clark is a grownup who should know better:

Unknown Variables )

Safety Protocols )

And I still have more ideas, but I'm trying not to go too insane. *g*

I'm not sure what happened to the [livejournal.com profile] wednesday100 today, but [livejournal.com profile] catmoran has issued her own challenge:

Characters from Smallville in the setting of another TV show. With or without alien/mutant influenced characteristics.

Fun!

Here's mine:

The Great Detective A. Joseph Luthor...He Doesn't Exist

It seemed like a brilliant idea to borrow the name for his detective agency--until A. Joseph Luthor showed up one day, not at all dead from his plane crash, talking about lawsuits and acting like he owned the place.

"What do you want?" Clark demanded.

"To be partners, just until we find my wife and my missing money. Then it's all yours again. Deal?"

"Deal." Not that he had any choice.

Luthor's hand settled on his ass. "I know we're going to make a great team, Kent."

Clark blushed fiercely. He knew he was in way over his head.

This week's [livejournal.com profile] wednesday100 topic is telling the truth, and I'm continuing my serial drabble of Kal-El and his Earth-man.

Earlier parts are: Alien at Home and The Addicting Touch.

The Naked Truth

Humans practice something called sex, Kal-El learns from the Earth-man's computer. There are pictures, males and females and naked touching. Kal-El can only stare.

"What's so fascinating?" The Earth-man looks over his shoulder.

He could try to hide it, but doesn't. "I'm sorry."

"It's natural to be curious. You may find this interesting." He types a command, and the screen fills with images, more naked touching, only it's males with other males. "We're a very adaptable species."

It sounds like a promise, and Kal-El reaches out his fingers to brush his hand. The truth is he's feeling rather adaptable himself.

Drabbling is fun. But getting exactly 100 words is hard, man. This took me all afternoon.

***

Visibility

Amy doesn't know why she does this, gliding through his house like a ghost, touching things he touched. She can't pretend he loves her. Not when she's seen them, their long legs tangled, pale skin against gold.

Upstairs, the bedroom door is ajar.

"Can't tell me or won't?"

"Can't respect my privacy? Or won't?"

A pause.

"I guess that's it then."

A sigh.

"I guess."

Clark walks past her, unseeing. Lex sits motionless on the bed. And maybe she should feel glad. But that look on his face, and she wishes his grief could be as invisible as she is.
