scribblinlenore: (Haven: Nathan in the clouds)

Title: Only one of us
Fandom: The Prestige
Pairing: Borden/his twin
Rating: NC-17
Summary: They learn to live as if they are part man, part ghost, and there is only one of them.
Word count: ~3,000
Warning: Incest (obviously)

Author's note: Written as a [livejournal.com profile] yuletide Treat for my dear [livejournal.com profile] linaerys. You can also read it at the Yuletide archive here.

They're already a world of one, one face, one name, even one set of thoughts. They still sleep tangled around each other at night the way they did as children. Only there's something different about it now, the two of them pressed so close it's as if they're trying to share one body, as well. )

This is the first of two stories I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide this year.

Title: Here's to knowing what you want and getting it
Fandom: Mad Men
Pairing: Don/Pete
Rating: R
Summary: Pete knows what he wants. The problem is getting it.
Word count: ~8,000

Author's note: My official assignment for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide. Written for [livejournal.com profile] black_eyedgirl. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] krisdia and [livejournal.com profile] barely_bean for all their help on this story. You can also read it at the Yuletide archive here.

I don't know who I am. This is the thought that's been spinning around Pete's head for weeks now, and he desperately wants to say it out loud. My life is a lie, and I don't know how it got that way. If anyone should understand, it's Don. )

I had a lovely holiday with my family, but it is really nice to be back in the land of broadband. Dial up at my mom's house was super slow and didn't work half the time. I did manage to read my [livejournal.com profile] yuletide story though, and it is FANTASTIC! I love it so.

Teenage Suicide: Not the Worst Idea Ever, Heathers

Heathers is one of my favorite movies ever, and since the first time I saw it which was what...twenty years ago? How old is Heathers? Anyway, that "I love my dead gay son" moment made me want to read a story about Kurt and Ram not dying out there in the woods, but having to go to school on Monday with the reputation as mineral water drinkers. My Yuletide story SO delivers. In fact, it's much better than anything I ever imagined. My dear, dear writer nails the voices, gives Kurt and Ram depth they never had on the big screen, and even makes them strangely endearing and sympathetic. It's really a brilliant story. If you like the movie, you'll seriously want to read it.

Woot!

I just signed up for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide! I'm really excited about everything I requested and everything I'm offering. Can't wait to get my assignment. It really is my favorite time of year. *bounces*

I've been mulling over the possibilities, and I finally decided to go with three movies and three books: Heathers, LA Confidential, My Beautiful Laundrette, Woman On The Edge Of Time by Marge Piercy, the Melusine series by Sarah Monette, A Companion To Wolves by Sarah Monette and Elizabeth Bear

Although I had to leave Life On Mars, Mad Men and Fringe off the list, so...hmm. I'm not sure this is final. *g*
scribblinlenore: (Psych: Shawn Face Palm)
Title: What Happens In Freedom Stays In Freedom
Fandom: Psych
Pairing: Shawn/Lassiter
Rating: NC-17
Summary: A star witness is on the run, and Lassiter and Shawn have to hit the road to bring him back to Santa Barbara.
Notes: This is my [livejournal.com profile] yuletide story for [livejournal.com profile] entwashian. A big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] lydiabell for beta reading!

Carlton had never been one for religion. Heaven and hell were much too abstract for his practical mind, and yet the five-hour drive up to Freedom with Spencer only an elbow's distance away gave him an inkling of what an eternity of damnation might well be like... )

My first participation in [livejournal.com profile] yuletide was good fun! Here's the story I wrote:

What Happens In Freedom Stays In Freedom
Fandom: Psych
Pairing: Shawn/Lassiter
Rating: NC-17
Summary: A star witness is on the run, and Lassiter and Shawn have to hit the road to bring him back to Santa Barbara.
Notes: A big thank you to Lydia Bell for beta reading!

I'll probably be reposting it to my LJ in the next few days, just for organizational purposes. No one guessed it was my story, so I don't owe anyone a story. Whew! *g*

Now, I get to thank [livejournal.com profile] fiercynn by name for my wonderful gift. I really loved it so!

Also, for those reading my New Year's dirt, I'll be back with more Choose Your Own Porn maybe later today or possibly tomorrow. But there will be more!

Yuletide!

I received a fantastic History Boys story that everyone should go read: Hope; feathers. Thank you again to my lovely writer!

Also, I've collected a wee group of recs here, hardly exhaustive, but I really enjoyed all these stories. Not that anyone probably needs another recs list! *g*

And finally, taking a page from others on my friends list, if anyone guesses what I wrote, I'll write you a little something-something of your choice in any of my fandoms.

Just wanted to say that I'll be away most of next week, and probably won't have Internet access. I look forward to reading my story when I get back and lavishing much squee on it! Thank you in advance!

First, let me say that it's my first year participating in [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, and I'm just ridiculously excited about it. Thank you so much for writing for me!

Cut to spare my flist... )
scribblinlenore: (Baseball: Jeter/A-Rod Just Hangin')
The [livejournal.com profile] yuletide nominations are up. Now, I've never actually done Yuletide before, but this year, my dear, dear [livejournal.com profile] punny has taken a slashy interest in the Yankees. This pleases me very, very much. So I'm going to do Yuletide, and I'm going to help Punny advocate for Jeter/A-Rod RFP (or JeteRod, as I like to call it). Because, as Punny says, they deserve to have at least as much smut written about them as Jsquared or the boy bands.

Some of you may remember that once upon a time I drew a line in the sand about baseball slash, but, hey, you know how sand is. A big wind blows up, and there goes your line! Besides, when the subjects themselves talk in public about their sleepovers and have a breakup to rival Beniffer's in media coverage, then all bets are off, I say.

For the JeteRod saga in a nutshell, read this:

Please note the sleepovers five nights a week.
