55 Word Challenge: Two Versions

It's time to unveil our answers to tamalinn's 55 Word Challenge. I wrote two for mine, one naughty, one nice.

My title was The Million-Dollar Party



The night of the big fundraiser, and the entertainment is in the basement, naked, chained with glowing green manacles.

Lex gives him a pep talk. "Our guests have paid generously for the privilege of using Superman. Let's not disappoint them."

Clark shudders, begs.

"And try to smile," Lex adds. "This is for charity, you know."






Clark comes racing into the study. "Have you seen what's going on out there? The rows of tents? The army of ice sculptures?"

Lex frowns. "No doves yet?"

"We were going to keep this simple, remember?"

"It's my last wedding." Lex kisses his overwhelmed fiance on the lips. "I just want to do it right."

They're both fantastic, but since I like to believe in a Riftless (or at least Rift-fixable) Clex, my favorite is 'Nice'.

Is it bad that I can see Lex saying that so very clearly in my head? The first one was twisted and kinda hot - I feel so dirty *G*. And the second one was adorable; I can just see Clark running in panicked. *g*

I really liked both of them, very much. I could really see the look of love on Clark's face in the second one as he watched Lex going slightly bonkers and realizing why.

Wowzers! The first one is so deliciously naughty...and the second is so sweetly nice. You definitely hit the epitome of the words you'd chosen, and being able to tell a story with just a few sentences...you're so good at this Lenore, that I've always loved reading your drabbles. Now I know you can do it in 55 words, too!

Of the two...it's tough picking a fav. Probably the last, 'cause I love my happy boys, especially if there's a wedding. Buuuut...the last is so ambigious, I loved it (and lusted it!). It could be cruel, sexy Lex with captive Clark, or it could be really, really kinky Lex with really, really kinky Clark. Is it evil of me to admit both are kind a hot?
