I really like this story, as I like all your stories, but I'm not sure about the characterization. It's all about nature & nuture, right? Your Alex Kent looks like Lex L., is younger (like Clark Kent), but he doesn't seen to have Clark's sense of coming from a family where he knows he's loved. And he doesn't appear to have either Lex L.'s high intelligence or his great strength of will, both of which are at least as much nature as nurture. I don't see why Clark Luthor is singling him out, when we have seen no reason yet why Alex could also rule the world.
