I know how you feel, I was full of 'bandom? those boys? for real?' when my flist started babbling about it. Followed by full out scorn when my favourite writers started writing bandom instead of SGA and QAF. I resisted for a year, but in the end they will get us all. Here I am, with a Patrick layout on my LJ, and an icon muse that insists on making FOB icons only.
That's an excellent rec list. I knew most, but I'm so glad 'I found the last good thing about this part of town' through it. I would also recommend everything by linzeestyle, here Hosuelights verse makes me squee with awww. I hope we'll see some Pete/Patrick from you, I've always enjoyed your McShep fic a lot.
