I've been curious about what people's bannish preferences are, and it's Friday, and I thought: Hey, why not a poll? For my friends who are muttering "dear God, here we go about bandom again," I have a special question just for you. :)

PANIC GSF, HELLOOOOOO! You can't separate them like that, they'll all cry! THEY'RE TOO PRETTY TO CRY UNLESS IT IS FOR PLOT-RELATED PURPOSES THAT END IN CUDDLES AND SEX.

In band, I have a huge adoration of pete/patrick or patrick/joe, ryan/spencer, and, uh, mcr member/mcr member.

While I'm primarily fannish about Fall Out Boy, my heart truly belongs to Cobra Starship. Because Gabe Saporta is the most precious, adorable, wonderfully sweet bandboy. Do not buy into the hype that he is evil and locks people in his basement! Because he is not -- he is wonderful and sweet and stands outside in the cold until every fangirl has a chance to say hello to him! I CHOSE HIM OVER PATRICK IN YOUR POLL, LENORE. Do you have any idea how much that means I must love him?!

(Patrick, however, has my heart because when I went to the "no frills" semi-interactive-signature-acquiring-experience for FOB, Patrick got yelled at with Every. Single. Person. because he refused to not talk to people as he signed their albums, insisting on asking them their names and how they were doing and thanking them for being there. He wrote in Spanish on piper47's Spanish homework! He's so adorable.)

My favorite pairing is still the first pairing I found -- Pete/Patrick. I just...they're so perfect. They're one of my few All Time Fannish OTPs, of which there is Mulder/Scully, Clark/Lex, and now Pete/Patrick. But I am also sad because your poll did not have my pet pairing in it - Gabe/Patrick. Because they fangirl each other mutually and also because, well, precious. And because Patrick totally wears the pants. As seen in 'Sass Attack!' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUYJiEzD1go) And also because Gabe may or may not have gotten Patrick to make unbelievably dirty gasping noises on his album.

I am so happy you have come to play in our sandbox. I will just keep repeating that over and over! :D

Somebody is older and somebody is younger and somebody is losing some kind of virginity.
HAHAHAHHAH OMG BULLLLLLLETPROOF hotness. I picked the romantic first time thing because usually my favourite favourites are more about equal partners than total filth, but if i'm looking for total break-my-brain hotness, then yeah, make him 15 and quick to blush. Hee. Hell!

Also, I dunno how exactly you define "fannish" so i went with "would seek out stories where a member of this band is the main character" - ie i said i'm not fannish about Gym Class coz I don't go hunting up Travis/Matt and I am fannish about PATD even though I don't love them because I do love stories about their ridiculous gay love.

I enjoy explaining these things!!!

This is why I wanted to do this poll, so I could learn about important things like Panic GSF! Which, now that I'm thinking about it, really makes the only sense for this band's OTP. :)

Gah. That was the most difficult poll I've taken in a long, long time. I like all kinds of stories! And I'm just not an OTP sort of person! (Runners up for the pairing: Pete/Patrick and Patrick/Bob; I also really like rare pairs.) And at various times I actually love Bob, Frank, and Mikey more than I love Gerard (though I do adore Gerard!), but Gerard is the most necessary, somehow.

Re: "fannish" -- I picked the ones I'm fannish about in terms of seeking out fic and being reasonably interested in some amount of canon; if we're talking bands that I'm really fannish about the actual music for (love rather than only like), the My Chem is probably it, plus the Dresden Dolls, who I adored long before I'd ever heard of bandom.

Hi! I'm a complete stranger who stumbled on this entry through friendfriends and couldn't resist the poll. :)

And it warms my fannish little heart that MCR and Gerard are currently coming out ahead in the first three questions - YAY! The fourth question was tricky because I can't imagine Gerard existing without Mikey, but in the end I had to vote for Gerard/Frank because I think they own my soul...

Linz! That is true love if you chose Gabe over Patrick. (I actually couldn't answer that question--I know! it's my own poll! But I just couldn't!--because the idea of splitting up Pete and Patrick was too much for me.)

It's interesting to get another perspective on Gabe, because all I know about him I learned from fan fic, and that involves him being a manslut and locking people in his basement and Pete having a heart attack when he sees Patrick going to the back of the Cobra Starship tour bus with him. But I can't not love a bandom guy who's good to the fangirls!

Isn't it, though??!!! I mean, I probably also prefer romantic first time stories, preferably wrapped around some plot, but my weakness, my absolute weakness is definitely all about the blushing besmirchment. It's why I stayed so long with Smallville.
