Okay, if Carl Pavano beats the Yankees? I will...I don't know. But something. Something unhappy.

That is all.

Oh my God! I went to get a drink of water, and I come back and there's a run on the board. I don't have gummy worms, but I'm going to have to find SOMETHING to get me through this game.

It might even be worse than losing 22-4!

I've switched to beer! I'm hoping this is luckier!

It isn't a great weekend to be a Yankees fan. But the seaosn is long!

Okay, so no, then. Beer is not luckier than water.

That is the great thing about baseball, isn't it? I mean, in football, if you get off to a bad start, you're pretty much done. But you can stink up all of April in baseball and still end up in the playoffs. I love this sport! :)

(Btw, I like your new user name. It's fun!)

I think it shows how little I know about baseball stuff since my first thought was -- porn, the answer to Lenore's unhappy state has got to be hot porn.

The Phillies lost 17 in April two seasons ago and still made the playoffs. (It helps that the Mets collapsed SPECTACULARLY. Oh, that was a fun season.)

But everyone is already talking standings and, you know, there are 162 games. You can't draw any conclusions from 10 games!

(PS Thank you!)

When the bases were loaded in the top of the seventh, I had to turn away and watch something else, and it was a show about a serial killer, and that was more cheerful to me.

But, hey, they seem to be trying to do something now.

I don't think that's a matter of not knowing about baseball. I think that's just a universal truth! *g*

Yeah, I think if that happened, I would be very shocked & upset. I'm just glad that we won. How many more days til Alex comes back? I miss his at bats like a baby misses its pacifier. Oh, did you see that Nick Swisher interview? On opening day, when Kim Jones was interviewing him, AJ walked by & kissed him on the cheek. *pouts & mumbles* Shoulda been Johnny doing that to Nick among other things. I wish today's game wasn't postponed. Stupid weather. Well, at least they get a day to recharge and come back stronger.

Actually, I have you to thank for making sure that I got to see the opening day kiss! I didn't DVR the pre-game and was most upset about it. Then I found the link you posted in [livejournal.com profile] pun's journal. All I can say is: awwwwwwwwwww! I love me some Nick Swisher.

I was supposed to go to that game on Monday. *sad face* But I'm working on getting to the stadium some time soon.

The pitching still seems a little iffy, but at least they've been winning games lately. I worked from home yesterday, and man, was that 14 innings a nail-biter. I was going to feel SO BAD if they ended up losing it. Jose Veras really came through big time!

That's ok. I knew that the video was highly demanded once word got out it and I wanted to make sure that people saw it. I love me some Nick Swisher too. That guy is such a ham! ^_^. I'm also trying to go there as well. I'm aiming for May 15th. Yesterday's game was so tiring, but it was sooo worth it in the end. I was high off the victory buzz as I watched the little home plate celebration. As long as I live, I will NEVER get tired of seeing those celebrations with the yankees. Oh, and here's something for you to think about:

Btw, this is my 1st attempt at both of these two who are the newest addition to my group of baseball OTPs
