Thank you so much for this! I loved hearing your reaction to the story. There have been moments here and there, as we've learned more about Lionel's past, that made me feel he's truly invented himself as Billionaire Lionel Luthor(TM). And that made me wonder who he was before. It's hard for me to believe that a man who is so utterly cold-blooded with his own son didn't experience some cruelty from his father when he was growing up. At the same time, I didn't want to make him a victim, because Lionel is nothing if not a master of survival. I'm glad you thought it worked!
