Ficlet: The Declaration

I found this languishing on my hard drive, and I had a sentimental rush of affection for the innocent old days when I honestly couldn't see how Lex would ever go bad or there could be a rift. This has a definite season one feel to it, and it's absolute fluff, expanded from a drabble I wrote.
