[livejournal.com profile] seperis is a hosting a really cool Multifandom DVD Commentary Challenge, in which peeps can sign up to do a DVD commentary on a favorite story. I always find the DVD commentaries from authors to be enormously entertaining, so it'll be interesting to see what comes out of this challenge when fans of stories have a go at it. Should be lots of fun!

Occasionally, I've considered doing a commentary on one of my own stories, but my memory seriously sucks. I honestly don't remember what I was thinking while I was writing something. This is why I have to take extensive notes the moment I have an idea! So...yeah. The obvious brain damage I've suffered is a bit of a hindrance there. But if anyone wanted to do a commentary on one of my stories you're more than welcome to. I'm trying to pick a story to do for the challenge, but even when I narrow it down to Smallville, there's still like...a THOUSAND stories I love.

So... does this mean I could pick your 4400 story "Life as a Vessel"? Because I absolutely adore it, and I can't assure you I'll do a top-notch job with it, but I'd really like to try if you didn't mind. :)

Oooh, pretty Shawn icon. And thank you! I hope I'll be able to make it justice.

(...and I think I never sent you feedback for it? Because I read it on your website and not your LJ and didn't have proper motivation, probably, but still. Bad me! Hopefully it'll make up for it. :p)

That sounds really fun! I'd totally post permission for my stories if it looked like anyone was interested in VM fandom.

And I hear you on the memory suckage. I have trouble remembering what day it is; trying to remember what I was thinking a year ago when I wrote something would probably result in a completely made-up account of how I was sitting in the bathtub with a glass of wine and was struck with an idea.

You should go sign up at [livejournal.com profile] seperis's LJ. You never know what VM fic fans may come out of the woodwork.

And not that I'd wish memory problems on anyone, but it does make me feel better to know I'm not alone! *g*

but my memory seriously sucks

My memory sucks, too. Recently, someone was searching for a fic and while I knew from the description that I'd written it, I couldn't remember the title.

*facepalms*

I've had a very similar experience! I'm like: I'm only 40. By the time I'm seriously old, I'm not going to remember my own name.

It's terrifying!
