-Isaac, you're a pussy. It's all Peter's fault? Who pulled the gun? Who pulled the trigger?

-I have never loved Mama Bennet more! Mr. Bennet is right. He never could love her enough.

-Nathan is a force for the good! Yays! It never made sense to me that he could go from sacrificing his father in order to prosecute Linderman to being bought and paid for by him. I'm glad he's not a sellout. But wow. How crazy was that plan? I mean, the most likely outcome was that he'd end up getting killed. And possibly get his family killed along with him.

-Nathan and Peter. Oh my God, oh my God. We've just been waiting for it and yay! For the win! All it lacked was face touching. Or kissing. I'm always open to kissing. The way Nathan's voice lowers all the way to gravel when he tells Peter that he's not going to do anything about Simone being dead, that Nathan is going to handle it? I might have squeaked. Just a little. And he has his eyes closed, and those eyelashes brushing his cheek. I'm only human, people!

It does really interest me, the difference in how their relationship was portrayed in the beginning. Remember Mama Petrelli telling Peter that he's always put Nathan on a pedestal and Nathan has never really cared that much about him? It's like a whole other show. Because, man, is there anything or anyone that Nathan could care more about? I love these brothers and their passion for each other!

-Nathan and Hiro! They just light up the screen together. I want the Nathan, Peter, Hiro, Ando show. That would be some fine TV viewing, my friends! And Ando!!!! You are my hero. "I knew you'd set off an alarm sometime." Awwwwwww! That's just how you roll!

-Oh my God! Nathan isn't as morally challenged as I thought, and Mohinder isn't nearly as stupid. That "this is going to hurt" was just as wrongly hot as it looked in the preview. Would curare really work on Sylar? Hmm. Well, I know the bullet isn't. Oooooh. So the curare didn't do the trick. Oh noes! Mohinder is back to being dumb and in danger!

-Jessica is disturbingly hot when she's killing. I worry about myself. But mostly, I worry for Nathan!

-Oh. *gurgles* Nathan and Jessica. No. Nikki. *gurgles some more* That man is just sex waiting to happen. I don't worry that I find Nathan on top of Nikki, pinning down her wrists hot, because that's just proof of life.

-Squeak! I really thought that was Mama Bennet there for a minute, and I was so freakin' sad! Now, however, I am quite concerned for Mr. Bennet. I really should have seen the shapeshifter thing coming. "I like your hair." Yeah.

-Yay Hiro! Um...not so yay for New York. As an aside, why must TV and movies always destroy New York?

-Okay, this is officially the episode of NO ONE WAS WHO I THOUGHT THEY WERE. Mama Petrelli is the one who's been protecting Claire. I gues i have to rethink that whole, "man is she a cold-hearted bitch" thing. Claire found her grandmother! Wait. This means MamaP must know about Nathan and Peter. Don't you think? Oh my God, oh my God, this story.

-Did we hear the Haitian's name? I thought Claire said it, but I couldn't make it out.

-Oh, Nathan. What are you going to do? He's threatening everyone you love *and* playing on your ambition. Figure out a way not to have his boot on your neck, baby! I know you can do it.

-Oh, Mohinder! You've gone all Mama Winchester on us.

-Oh, Peter! Peter1 *hides eyes* That has to be one of the more upsetting things I've ever seen on TV.

Oh my God, oh my God, I'm just dead. DEAD, people. Eeeeeeee! I don't quite know how to express my joy. "That was one hell of an hour of TV" just doesn't sum it up. Eeeeeeeee!

That made the show for me! No, well, really, what made the show for me was the pretty visuals of Peter and Mohinder, and Hiro being so cute, and Claire being so smart, and a few other things, but... the Redemption of Nathan and the Revenge of Mohinder did a lot to help.

I don't worry that I find Nathan on top of Nikki, pinning down her wrists hot, because that's just proof of life.

Definitely hot. It isn't a subjective judgement. It's just there.

As an aside, why must TV and movies always destroy New York?

There was just so much to love! But my favorite part was how people kept turning out to be different than I thought. Storylines on TV are so rarely surprising, and this episode just *kept* surprising me.

This episode was amazing! And I love that Hiro totally has Nathan's number too. They're so destined to be buddies.

And the touching! God, the touching!

You're right, their relationship is totally different than was portrayed in the first episode. I guess the smokin' hot chemistry between Adrian and Milo forced them to go in another direction.

Honestly, Nathan and Hiro could really just have their own show, that's how fabulous they are together. In just a few seconds, too! Although, of course, I could never really root for the the Nathan-Hiro buddy hour, because then Peter and Ando would be so lonely. *g*

From that last scene with Linderman, I can also see him developing a similarly protective feeling for Claire. Which is just fascinating, because Nathan has never really wanted these powers, so much tries to belong to the mainstream world with its ordinary ambitions and concerns, and yet what he truly cares about are his so very not ordinary brother and (I imagine when he gets to know her) daughter. Hiro is right. Nathan pretends not to care because he cares too much.

I didn't think I could love him any more. But I keep being proved wrong!

OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!

This might be the best hour of television I've seen in...God knows how long. There were so many perfect moments of squee that I sat with a grin on my face the entire way through. When Ando came to Hiro's rescue, I practically bounced out of my seat with glee.

And Nathan! Nathan, Nathan, Nathan... "You pretend you do not care about anyone, but you care too much." Gaaaah. I'm such a Nathan fan right now it's insane. And how can Adrian Pasdar have eyelashes like that?! It's another one of his superpowers, I swear. Quite seriously, I think he's given me an eyelash kink.

Brotherly love, at last! Did you notice how Nathan didn't even ask how Simone was killed? He loves Peter so much, he doesn't need to know what actually happened in order to protect him. I don't think love can get more unconditional than that and it's all just shown as a matter of course.

Mr. Bennet, I love you more than ever. And now also your wife. Please don't either of you get killed.

Mohinder and Sylar... Ooooooh, the twisted hotness. I'm a sick, sick girl, I know, but that was just my kind of torture scene. Dear lord, the tuning fork... I *knew* Mohinder had it in him to be exactly that cold and cruel. And Sylar, turning the tables on him, and...oh my god the dirty wrongness. Do you think they'll kill Sylar off at the end of the season? I'd miss him so much if they do.

(I'm not sure whether they actually Jossed my fic-in-progress or not, but I'm going to pretend that they didn't. Surely there was a couple of days after the killing of super-hearing woman when Mohinder hadn't yet realized who Sylar really is? And surely in that time they had passionate, disturbing sex? That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. *nods*)

I've been thinking for a long time now that since they've been keeping Linderman out of the picture the entire season, it would be absolutely vital that when he finally showed up, he'd be played by an actor with true weight and significance. And they went and gave us Malcolm McDowell! Way to go, casting department! Really, I want to give them standing ovations. Not only did they nail the original casting like whoa, but then they got out and found the most *perfect* guest stars. At this point in the season, I think I can safely say that there's not a single actor on the show whose performance isn't just right. I believe in these people, as people, with all their strengths and faults and complexities, and that's what makes the show great.

Lastly... Sylar cut off Peter's emo hair! In all the horror and gore of that scene, that detail was actually amusing. And the freaky thing is that the silly hair is so much a part of who Peter is that I think a hair-cut for him translates into serious character development. Darker, more grown-up, less moping Peter coming up?

Isagel!! I totally agree. I can't remember the last time an hour of television was that exciting. I literally couldn't stay still or keep quiet while I was watching it. I kept being SURPRISED, which is just the best thing ever.

I would totally watch the Nathan-Hiro show (although it would be sad for Peter and Ando to be without them *g*). They are so GREAT together. I mean, it was only a few seconds they were together, but they totally lit up the screen, and we go away from the scene understanding more about both of them. That's some powerful chemistry.

Re: Pasdar's eyelashes. I just...yeah. He is inhumanly pretty. And he had chemistry with a cardboard box in Profit!! Clearly, his sex appeal has mutant strength!

Stick to it! Stick to it! There's ALWAYS time to fit in some passionate, disturbing sex, and I like how that missing scene amps up all the twisted hotness between them in this ep even more. I actually kind of like the idea of Mohinder starting to have some doubts and still sleeping with Sylar. They just can't ever be too twisted for me!

I totally agree about Malcolm McDowell. Perfect choice. Yay!

barely_bean has some Sampson fears about that. Because Peter's emo has to be the source of his power! *g* But yes, yes, more seriously, they've been showing us glimpses of a more confident, dangerous and powerful Peter, and I think the confrontation with Sylar is going to accelerate that a lot.

I'm totally fascinated by Mama Petrelli now. And so curious about what Papa Petrelli's relationship with Linderman was really all about, given that Linderman is very interested in these people with powers and PapaP has two boys with powers. Doing anything to protect the family seems to be the Petrelli creed, so I wonder if PapaP was actually extorted into working for Linderman, in exchange for protection for Peter and Nathan from the Paper Factory Mafia. And MamaP knew about this, and did her best to extend some protection to Claire.

I'm caught up in all sorts of wild speculation about Mama Petrelli. Clearly, she and the Haitian have some kind of long-standing agreement about protecting Claire, but what/who else does she know? Did the Haitian, on her orders, allow Nathan to escape (by not surpressing his flying ability) when HRG tried to grab him? Could Mama Petrelli have powers of her own?
