New web site

I've moved my web site to Word Press, since it's just so automated and easy, and done a complete update. All the stories I've posted in all my fandoms are now up. I haven't abandoned my popullus site, because I really like popullus, and who knows if Word Press will someday get an LJ-like case of intolerance. I'm just not sure yet what I'm going to do with the old site. Maybe I'll turn it into a mirror site eventually.

Do you know the history of the word Serendipity?
I can't vouch for how true this is, but I learned this from my Hindi prof. He said that Serendipity comes from the word "Serendip"--which was what ancient Persian traders called the island of Ceylon (or Sri Lanka, today). Legends of its riches and its lush environment, spread far and wide, ushering it into myth. Where it became associated with fortune and the opportune discovery of very good things. :)

He also told us the story of shampoo. And punch. And... well. You get the picture. ;D
