1. Nathan Fillion is such a gorgeous, gorgeous man he makes me giddy. Giddy, I tell you!

2. I'm gorging myself on Mal/Simon stories. For the moment, that's my pairing. Although I've read Mal/Jayne, Simon/Jayne, Jayne/River, and Kaylee/Inara stories that work for me as well. I wish this fandom was as large as SGA, so I could just fall into the fic and never come out. *sighs dreamily*

I already have an idea for a story, but I want to finish watching all the episodes again first. They're even better the second time around!

In other news, I'm learning how to knit in the round thanks to the wonderful, generous linaerys. Yay mittens!

I deeply adore Mal/Simon and Simon/Jayne. I think Simon/Jayne edges ahead by a nose, but they're both so awesome. Why isn't there a ton more of it?

Oh my God, yes! Yes! Wow. I was totally blown away. By that episode and also War Stories. I've been working on a post with my thoughts and favorite moments from the series. It's turning out to be rather long, not all that surprisingly!

Yes! I was sure I wouldn't be able to get over him destroying Xander's eye, let alone think of him as a hero, but man, I was practically smitten with Mal by the time the first ep ended.

Thank you for your interest in my knitting! I'm very excited about learning something new. I'm not sure how to answer your question, though. I haven't learned a lot of knitting lingo yet. So far I've made the cuff. It's ribbed, two knits, two purls. On Saturday, I'm learning to do the thumb gusset. Whee!

Aw yeah, Mal/Simon is my favorite Firefly pairing as well. It's been a long while since I've read any, but my somewhat accidental finding of a few Mal/Simon stories about 3 years ago was one of the things that got me interested in reading any kind of fic at all :)

Yay Nathan!!! And yay Mal/Simon! It's the only pairing I've ever really gotten into on this show. Generally I don't feel like I need that much fic because there's so much going on in the show itself, but aside from obviously loving Wash and Zoe together, I only ever really felt that Mal and Simon were the ones who might work together. I'm gonna look at what you have on delicious and see if there are good ones I've missed. :)

I need to go back through the stuff I saved on delicious to tag the ones I really recommend, because I was just bookmarking anything I found. A lot of stories I enjoy before Mal and Simon actually start sleeping together, and then the moment they hit the sheets they get all mushy and rather unMal-and-Simon-like. Which is obviously quite disappointing.

If the show hadn't ended so prematurely, I doubt I ever would have read fic, because it's just so satisfying by itself. I was a huge Buffy fan, but never got into Buffy fandom for the same reason. But now with Firefly I just need MORE! More, more, more. *sighs*

firefly just makes me sad since it had such an early demise. such amazing stories and great snappy writing. oh and naked mal. la la la naked mal.....damn that fox. and the sad thing of it is that, had it been on tv longer, the fanfic fan base would have been more productive. there were/are so many possibilities for great fic but without a show to fuel the fires, the creative juices seem to dry up. oh now i'm really sad and have to go to sleep.

Oh, I definitely want to see "Waitress"! I meant to see it in the theater, because even before I was into Firefly, I thought Nathan Fillion was a damned fine looking man. But somehow I just missed seeing it. I've added it to my DVD list.

As for Firefly, yes, yes, I do agree. It is so very sad to imagine what this show might have become and how rich the fannish culture that would have grown up around it. Ah, well. At least what we have of the show is so amazing you can watch it and watch it and watch it some more. Which is exactly what I plan on doing! *g*
