Yes! That promo totally freaked me out with all its light-hearted hijinks. Totally does not make sense following the "death" (because I refuse to believe it's really true) of a major character.

I bet they set up a budding romance between Jack and Allison and just when they're on the verge of, I dunno, first kiss, first whatever, Nathan pops back through time. And the plot goes to Allison having to choose between them both. TV writers love triangles.

I told myself: Maybe he's just in THE FUTURE now? Because his particles accelerated? And he just got a little ahead of everyone else? And will show up one day soon? MAYBE?

I hope he comes back. I love how he and Jack squabble, and also, I'm not at all looking forward to the Allison/Jack romance. I find Allison extra boring.

Yes, I was hoping it was something like that. I mean, the other guy ended up charred, and Nathan just sort of froze and then sparkled away. That seems promising for him to still be alive, just out of sync somehow with time.

And when he comes back, there will probably be an incredibly tedious love triangle, but I will still be happy, because I love Nathan.

It's a really fun show, and I highly recommend it. Something just happened to one of the main characters, but it's not entirely clear what, and I personally don't believe he's really gone. It's not really a show designed for sadness.

I just assumed that he'd been moved forward in time - until I saw a post bewailing his fate, I didn't for a moment think he was dead! So, yes, I'm expecting to see him show up again soon.

My sister stopped to watch it because I think it's cute, and she'd never seen any of it before. She called me twenty minutes in (because she didn't get why a genius is working *as a mechanic*, or what the deal was with Carter), so I... blithely explained and told her NOBODY EVER DIES ON EUREKA! Okay. So. Hardly ever.

And now we have... Dead time guy and fluttery bits of Nathan o_O
