1. Losing an hour is HARD. I miss that hour. A lot. I know I'll be glad this evening when it's seven o'clock and still light out. But right now, I'm all: give me my damned hour back.

2. I had brunch with my friend and her daughter, and that was very nice. Walked home in 60 degree weather. Yay spring!

3. You know what I really want to see on my TV? A crossover episode thingy with Criminal Minds and The Mentalist, wherein the team from CM gets called in by a local jurisdiction on the Red John case, and Patrick Jayne shows up, all this is my case and I'm going to be the one to solve it. Can you imagine the CM team and how they'd react to Patrick Jayne? It would be awesome! And then, of course, the storyline would continue on The Mentalist, and maybe they'd catch Red John, but probably they wouldn't this time around, and then they could work together again, and there could be another crossover episode thingy again in the future. For the win!

4. Watched tons of baseball yesterday, and I know you'll all be shocked to hear it, but I STILL LOVE DEREK JETER. You know, just in case you were wondering.

5. This morning, I read, oh my God, this super, super satisfying Pete/Patrick romance novel Victorian AU in space story, wherein (that's my word for the day, by the way!) Pete is a rich, but rather shady gentleman and Patrick becomes his kept man to save his brother from gambling debts. Kept man! That's right below besmirching on the big list of things Lenore can't resist. I don't know how I didn't find this story sooner.

6. I'm excited that the The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency is going to be a show on HBO. I adore the books, and I hope I like the series, as well. Also, looking forward to Nathan Fillion in Castle. And some slashy goodness modern day biblical style in Kings.

7. MOST IMPORTANTLY! Thank you to my darling [livejournal.com profile] anitac588 for the daisy for my profile page. That was so sweet of you. And happy International Women's Day to my dear ladies on my flist and everyone who stops by to visit. You are all awesome, and I'm so happy to know you.

Every time I see the shot in the promo of Al Swearengen holding court in that gorgeous Time Warner Center room that overlooks the park, I wiggle a little. :)

I would totally fangirl like crazy over a CM/Mentalist crossover. I can just imagine how Reid would react to Jane!

Yes, yes! I would pay money to see that. Okay...no. But I would squee really loudly! :)

I know! Creepy!gentleman Pete! I can't tell you how excited I was to stumble across this story. I was haunting delicious this morning, as I do, and there it was! I couldn't believe I'd never read it before. I'll probably be reading it once a month myself. And I'm still hoping for your Byron-inspired gentleman!Pete! :)

Why is it always your fault that I read bandom and like it?

...that is to say, that if you come across anything you think I would enjoy (and I think we share a lot of the same happy places in fic), you could feel free to let me know.

Resistance to my bandom enthusiasm is futile, Mads! *g*

I made a few bandom recs posts. I don't know if you saw them. But just in case, I link:

http://scribblinlenore.livejournal.com/439871.html (I especially recommend "So, so fucked," a truly squee-worthy "pretending to be gay" story)

http://scribblinlenore.livejournal.com/436498.html

http://scribblinlenore.livejournal.com/435326.html (Fandom cliches)

I fail at bookmarking stories, but here's my Pete/Patrick delicious for what it's worth:
http://delicious.com/scribblinlenore/pete%2Fpatrick

There's been some hot kink that I've been reading lately. I'll collect some links and email you.

Oh, and I think you like kidfic. If so, I ADORED this MCR series that [livejournal.com profile] swanswan recommended to me:
http://passe-simple.livejournal.com/10850.html

I will keep you in the loop of my future bandom reading! You may come to regret ever leaving me this comment! :)

Ah, another victiom of A Common Understand. I lost awhole afternoon to it, because I had to re-read it immediately. Keptman!Patrick is awesome, and I love the quietness of how he comes to love Pete. Also, Bob as a bonus <3

A CM/Mentalist crossover would be like a dream come true, tension to cut with a knife.

I had the best morning ever reading this story! I don't know how I never stumbled onto it before. I've totally been missing out! The downside is that now I want more big, epic Harlequin Pete/Patrick stories. So bad!!!!

Would a CM/Mentalist crossover be the best thing ever? The shows are on the same network. I think they're totally missing an opportunity if they never do a two-part episode thingy. *wants*

(I love your icon, btw!)

Thanks, although that icon is quite old. I need new ones, so bad.

Harlequin Pete/Patrick is the best! have you readSon of a Scoundrel, Heart of Gold (http://ink-like-blood.livejournal.com/17783.html#cutid1)? Lord Wentz and evil!Gabe as Patrick's father <3

A Criminal Minds/Mentalist crossover is totally cracked, but I'd *so* watch that.

Happy International Women's day to you, as well.

It would be SO cracked, wouldn't it? I know that's why I love the idea so much. *g*

I played catch today! I was being Andy Pettitte! And I also love Derek Jeter!! He is the captainiest!!!

That sounds like so much fun! Yay for spring and playing catch.

Also, I whole-heartedly agree. Jeter is TOTALLY the captainiest!!

How can you NOT love Jeter? The man's just made of awesome! Every time I see him and alex get a home-run and trot around the bases, I always wonder why they don't show it in slow-mo and zero in on their butts.*sigh* I'm gonna miss alex while he's not playing.

I LOVE the way you think!!! If MLB was serious about attracting more female viewers, they would totally get right on that. I'm also going to miss Alex while he's not playing. I was hoping we'd have fewer injuries this year, and we're starting the season already with one of our best players out of the lineup. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.

I adore the "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" series! It's the book equivalent of a good cup of tea, which = warm and fuzzy. I watched the one-off, special but didn’t know they were doing a series! Yay.

From: [identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com
You know what? I think you may actually have recommended the series to me, and that's how I found it. A few years ago, a friend of mine wanted good-cup-of-tea type books for her birthday, and I asked my friendslist. The first book in the series was one of the recommendations, and my friend loved it so much she loaned it to me when she was finished. And I loved it so much, I had to read the rest of the books.

The series in on HBO. It starts at the end of March. I'm excited about it!

It was on BBC1 last night, and it was everything you want for a Sunday Night show. I'm so glad it's a series :)

Which is good. He needs you even more this season. :)

Thank you for the rec! I had wondered where the new commenters were coming from... I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a weakness for the old "kept man" trope, long may it live.

Belatedly, just wanted to say again how fantastic your story is! It's one of my all-time favorite Pete/Patrick stories!
