Eeeee! I really enjoyed it. It's definitely not going to be my *happy* show, but it's a good one.

I've been spoiled by Merlin though; I wanted Jack and David to be best friends! (Pretty sure biblical Jonathan and David were... must reread Bible.) Maybe later?

The Biblical David and Jonathan were at minimum BFF and quite possibly fucking like bunnies in spring. And that's the official, canonical (like Biblical cannon cannon!) version.

Seriously, David and Jonathan have been a symbol of "the love that dared not speak its name" for a damn long time.

Hey, might as well do something useful with all that Bible knowledge that was beat into me as a child...

David and Jonathan are as much a core pair in the history of homosexuality as any of the Greeks couples are :D It's like the original slash pairing, millenniums before Kirk and Spock.

When I started watching it, I was all "well, in the Bible, it's sort of unambiguously ambiguous. I wonder how they'll handle it on this?" and then THEY WENT THERE. Right out in the open! (But I don't remember the arms-merchant brother-in-law in the bible and now must actually haul the thing out and read it.)

My FAVORITE favorite part was how easy it was to imagine a word balloon for Silas right at the very end saying "Cocksucker!"
