So, I know just yesterday I was talking about how cute Pete and Patrick are and how I couldn't imagine ever getting over this fandom. Sigh. Then I watched them this morning, DVR'd on Jay Leno, and I just...didn't feel it. I mean, okay, "America's Suitehearts" isn't my favorite song, but still. I'm really afraid the magic is over. And that means I'm going to be totally without a fandom. I'm so uninterested in TV these days I'm considering very seriously getting rid of cable altogether. I think I'm just going to read.



Okay, I'm sure no one fell for that, but anyway:

Happy April Fool's Day!!!!

I actually found FOB to be completely adorable as ever on Jay Leno, and I loved the interview on the website (giving Patrick a hard time about not being on Twitter, hee!), and "She's My Winona" sounded fantastic.

(Apologies to my friends who were actually hoping I'd snapped out of this bandom obsession! *g*)

Reading is fun... I gave up on TV a long time ago, it just seems nothing interesting is produced any longer.

However, if you are looking for some fun and easy books, then I suggest Patricia Briggs's Mercy Thompson series. They are not deep and insightful, but they are a joy to read.

What they showed on the actual show was pretty good, but the extra stuff on the web site I loved. You should check it out. Their live rendition of "She's My Winona" was especially good.

I am still so sad and alone.

(OK, so I think I may SORT OF be getting into a fandom, in that I've spent a lot of my free time lately watching clips of David Mitchell be super-adorable and witty and British on all kinds of shows ... but this doesn't help me get a fandom because I have looked for one, and read everything (by which I mean, all, like, five stories in existence) and man, pretty much everything without question SUCKED HARD and now I am in a fandom of one. SIGH. I will be making a pimping post really really really soon to try to convince people to write things for me, but until then ... ALONE.)

That part of my post was totally true--although I'm not canceling cable, because that would just make me sad and I have to be able to watch baseball. We can still commiserate! The best part of that interview was clearly Pete being all "ask the fans why Patrick's so cute", and Patrick actually making the :| face in real life. Also Andy and Joe bitching about fans bugging them on Twitter about Patrick.
