Enough already with the million-billion TW stories where every character in it describes Derek as looking like a criminal or a serial killer the first time they lay eyes on him. He really, really doesn't. I mean, let's leave aside the fact that criminals don't have any particular look and actual serial killer Ted Bundy was described as clean-cut, charming and an all-around great guy by people who knew him. Derek Hale looks like an underwear model or an athlete or just a really hot guy with a surly temperament. I know the whole "he looks like a criminal" thing is hyperbole and supposed to be funny, but it's in EVERY story I read. And I'm so SICK of it.

She took one look at him, this Derek Hale, with his hands shoved into the pockets of his black leather jacket and the hours past five o'clock shadow. "Criminal" was the first words that came to mind, "criminally, illegally hot" really hit the nail on the head. And the firm set of his mouth made him even more mysterious, but still, she wanted to see him crack a grin. He probably had a killer smile that had a trail of victims for wherever he went.


(Sorry, couldn't help myself... The commute home sometimes does this to me... ;)
