Help?

You guys, I have never defaulted on picfor1000, and I don't want to start. I like my picture, and yet I have absolutely no thoughts about it. Or at least I have no thoughts that lead to fic.

I mean, sure, it says Derek's days in Brooklyn, but I don't feel inspired by that. Any thoughts? Anybody?

This is very random so sorry if it's not helpful:
Showdown between Derek's 'pack' and the Alpha one (or any other baddies) on a bridge.
Hostage/ransom exchange (oh! things could go horribly/comically wrong ala Big Lebowski because whomever is a moron).
Post-graduation road trip (10 US cities to see before you die; 10 most beautiful bridges in the US)
Photography class
X going to NYU
Suicide attempt
Or metaphorically anything having to do with bridging differences or water under the bridge

I am going to suggest happy things, because that is how I roll. :D Like Derek BACK in Brooklyn, after his life has gotten so much better, showing Stiles all his favorite places and making new memories. Or a lazy, foggy California morning, tangled up together. Or waking up from a dream of smoke and fire to find good, comforting, better things—cool sheets, a warm body tucked in next to him, the window open to the scents of rain and green, growing things.

Can you ignore the caption? Because my first thought when I saw the picture was of prison fences. That could lead to plot bunnies of Derek being held captive behind a fence or in a cage.

Or blend that metaphorically with the reality of Brooklyn Bridge. Did he feel fenced in when he was in Brooklyn? Or free once he left Brooklyn?

Those are all great ideas! I could definitely see Stiles going to NYU and Derek coming to visit him. Or a showdown on a bridge would be awesome. Thanks so much for the help!

I like the way you roll, my friend! These all make me incredibly happy. I can just imagine Derek showing Stiles all his favorite places in Brooklyn, and Stiles asking a million questions, and Derek pretending to be annoyed but loving very moment of it. Awww!

Yes, we can definitely ignore the caption, and I like the idea of prison fences or a cage. That's really interesting. Maybe because I live in Brooklyn it's been really hard for me to think outside the box about this picture. Thanks so much for the help!
