If you haven't had the chance, check out the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] summercon multi-fandom extravaganza, the brainchild of the lovely and almost frighteningly energetic [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn. There are many activities, including the bad manip challenge that makes me laugh every time I think about it. :)

Today is SummerCon zine day. A few months back, Madelyn asked a bunch of writers if they'd contribute something, and she was very, very cloak and dagger about what it was for. And now it's finally unveiled! You can read all the many fabulous stories here:

SummerCon Zine

I wrote a John/Rodney SGA story, a PG little summery thing. Big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] barely_bean for the inspiration and beta reading. If you want to check it out, it's here:

That manip of Rodney and John as female models or whatever that was has BROKEN MY BRAIN. It was far too successful for my peace of mind. ;)

Oh, my God! That was the most startling/disturbing/okayI'mgoingtoadmitkindofhot thing ever. I'm pretty sure my brain is broken, too!

Yay! What a perfect story to read on one of the first chilly days of autumn. *loves still*

That's awfully sweet!

(And that's coming from someone who loathes baseball with the heat of a thousand fiery suns, so go, you!)

(Ok, so not baseball, precisely. But the cult of baseball. And don't get me started on the cult of the South. My anti-Robert E. Lee rant has put people into comas.)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And, hey, I totally hear what you're saying about the cult of baseball. There's a somewhat disturbing element to all professional sports. But the actual experience of sitting outside on a nice day and drinking beer and chatting? Nothing better! :)

I don't actually understand the rules of baseball but I totally love how Rodney gets caught up in it. Sweet story!

Awww! I'm so pleased you liked this story. Even though you're not into baseball! :)

When I come to NYC (some day, I still hold hope, in spite of everything), you're taking me to a baseball game and I'll spend my time checking out the audience for possible John&Rodneys, Clark&Lexs having a date.
*g*
Loved the story. Loved it. Thanks for that the first-second-third base thing, never had it explained in such illustrative and clear way.
