If you haven't had the chance, check out the fabulous summercon multi-fandom extravaganza, the brainchild of the lovely and almost frighteningly energetic svmadelyn. There are many activities, including the bad manip challenge that makes me laugh every time I think about it. :)

Today is SummerCon zine day. A few months back, Madelyn asked a bunch of writers if they'd contribute something, and she was very, very cloak and dagger about what it was for. And now it's finally unveiled! You can read all the many fabulous stories here:

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And, hey, I totally hear what you're saying about the cult of baseball. There's a somewhat disturbing element to all professional sports. But the actual experience of sitting outside on a nice day and drinking beer and chatting? Nothing better! :)

When I come to NYC (some day, I still hold hope, in spite of everything), you're taking me to a baseball game and I'll spend my time checking out the audience for possible John&Rodneys, Clark&Lexs having a date.
