Come out and play!

scribblinlenoreI am all bored and fidgety today, and that is a bad combination, my friends. So I thought of a game we could play. I've been thinking for a while now how interesting it would be to do a communal story, but one that was completely blind. You would only get to see the passage that came immediately before yours, and you'd have to write something based on that. I think it would be really revealing about fandom, about some of the underlying assumptions we make about Clark and Lex, and about storytelling, in general. Or it could just be a hoot, a Clexy sort of mad libs.
So let's give it a shot. Here's how it will work:
1. Leave me a comment with your email.
2. I will email you the preceeding passage of our communal story.
3. You write a short passage to follow it. No more than THREE SENTENCES, and you only get one turn. This thing will only work if it's a true communal effort. If you write more than three sentences, I'm only going to take the first three.
4. Email it right back to me. This is supposed to be spontaneous. So don't fret over it. Just go with your first thought. If the thing comes out completely wacky, then we'll all get a laugh!
5. If you don't have time to participate when I email you, let me know immediately. I'll put you at the end of the list and try you again later. It's important that we keep the line moving.
6. The experiment will run until we've gone through the list of everyone who has signed up, and they've either contributed or passed.
7. I'll compile the resulting story and post it to my LJ (along with the list of participants) for the amusement of all.
Sounds fun, no? And you only have to write a few sentences! It should take no more than ten minutes or so. Come on out and play! Leave me a comment with your email.
And to make it really communal, let me know how you'd like the story to start. I'll pick one (my secret!), and we'll get the story underway.

I am assuming this is to be a clex story?
And, btw, I have actually started a community along a similar vein call clex_pass_story
So if you actually wanna just write a few sentences of a story to help move it along, please do!
