I'm bored, and here's a game, and come out and play, huh?

Here's an image:

So much could be happening here. Affairs. Honeymoons. Evading the law. Ghostbusting. You name it. Write a short scene, any fandom or original fiction. Leave it in the comments or post to your LJ and leave a link. Don't overthink it. Let your scene be as impetuous as the things that are going on in this fine establishment. Put your fandom/pairing/rating in the subject line. Otherwise, there are no rules at the Pink Shell Motel!

Original fic (novel)--Scott and David--PG-13

Date: 2006-10-03 08:47 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] sparktastic.livejournal.com
"We can't afford it, Davey. We'll just have to drive back after. Do it in shifts, it'll be fine." Scott rubs his hands together, shoving them into his pockets. It's cold out here, and he wants to be back in the truck, on the way to the club. Not standing at the side of the road on the outskirts of Fort MacMurray because David likes the sign for a shitty motel they can't afford.

David, the insane one, who's looking at Scott like he's the insane one, before turning back to the motel. He's practically drooling.

"Lookit how tacky it is, dude. We have to." Scott rolls his eyes and looks over his shoulder at where Mike and Chris are leaning against Mike's car. Chris looks distracted but Mike looks like he might just crack a smile. He pushes himself away from the car door, flicks his cigarette into the gravel of the shoulder.

"It's gonna be late, and we'll be wasted. I'll put it on the card."

David practically pirouettes around, grinning like an idiot. "Awesome!"

Scott rolls his eyes again.

*

It's less disgusting when they finally get back from the club, mostly because they're trashed. First out of town gig, and they got a generous rider. The kids in the crowd, once they figured out the band onstage wasn't going to be playing either Garth Brooks or Stones covers, actually got into it. A couple of guys even came over to buy them beers, and Scott doesn't remember a whole lot after the third round of tequila slammers.

He stumbles into David, tripping over the shag carpeting. His hands fall into the curve of David's elbow, in the gap between the edge of his too-small tshirt, and the waistband of his jeans.

"Oops."

David laughs, pawing at the wall, trying to find the light switch. Scott hangs on, and after something like another minute passes, remembers.

"Dude--dude, there isn't one."

He feels David stop, turn around, his breath suddenly hitting Scott's face as he talks. It smells of smoke and beer. "What?"

"There isn't--it's lamps. By the bed."

"Oh." Scott's hands are just hanging off the ends of his arms, and he wants to be hanging on again. He settles for hooking his fingers into David's belt loops. He feels David's nose, cold against his cheek, as he shuffles closer to Scott. Scott turns his face, so his mouth is just brushing against David's.

"We rocked, didn't we?"

He feels David's answer instead of hearing it. "Totally."

Very nice! I feel like I got to know a lot about the characters in a very few words. And I really liked this line:

David, the insane one, who's looking at Scott like he's the insane one, before turning back to the motel. He's practically drooling.

It's just such a funny image, how excited David is about this tacky motel.

Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you, tho! I think I can actually use this, is the exciting bit. I'm not there yet, novel-wise, but when I *do* get there...yeah.

I appreciate the fb, especially since you don't know my boys. ♥

Fort Mac! For serious? And slashy. *dies of the awesome*

David laughs, pawing at the wall, trying to find the light switch. Scott hangs on, and after something like another minute passes, remembers.

I liked the whole sequence of hunting for the non-existant lightswitch.

TRUSTING CHLOE

Clark remained seated behind the wheel of the truck staring blankly at the flashing pink neon sign. This is the place. Chloe had left him a text.

10/2 9pm #17 Pink Shell Rte 40
Trust me.

He did trust her. Chloe was his best friend. He could count on her. She knew him best. She knew his secrets, his frustrations, understood his destiny and accepted him unconditionally. But sex, with Chloe…that could change everything.

Chloe had promised him that she could “fix” everything. She would personally see to it that Clark would get-over his obsession with Lana. She would help usher him into manhood. “All you need Clark,” she told him, “is blind faith and a hard-on”.

Clark dropped his forehead to rest on the steering wheel. “What am I doing here?” he thought out loud. “This doesn’t feel right”.

He had to tell her. He had to be honest. Although Chloe had been a vision in several late night jerk-off fantasies Clark couldn’t bring himself to do anything that could potentially ruin their friendship. He needed her. He couldn’t lose her, not for this.

The driver sided door squeaked open and Clark exited the truck. He inhaled deeply willing himself to cross the parking lot toward the door of room seventeen. He ran his hand through his hair nervously rehearsing what he should say, “Hey, I really appreciate this…., Um Chloe, you’re my best friend,….Gee, Chloe, thanks but…”

Stopping at the threshold he inhaled deeply one last time before gripping the door handle firmly. “I do trust you Chloe.” He whispered. Clark turned the knob gently finding it unlocked. He pushed the door open and stepped in to the dimly lit room.

“Hello Clark.” An easily recognized voice said. Clark looked out to the parking lot noticing, only now, that he had parked the beat up blue pick-up next to the shiny silver Porsche.

Clark grinned knowingly, closed the motel door and turned the lock.

Well, being as this is my very first publicly posted ficlet in the SV fandom, perhaps I'll think of it as "plot bunny" and write a real (more detailed) fic. In the meantime, you'll have to use your imagination. LOL

Matching Heroes piece to come tomorrow.
From: [identity profile] tzi.livejournal.com
"Look. I'm beat, and there's no way we're driving any further, so suck it up, College Boy."

Suck it up. Yeah, well. They'd slept in some dives, but there were dives, and then there was the Pink Shell Motel in bumfuck South Carolina.

Sam knew he should never, ever have let Dean talk him into going down to Lizella, and he definitely shouldn't have let him talk him into doing anything about that fucking pyramid in that cemetery in Macon, and oh. Yeah. He shouldn't have let him nearly get arrested at the Cherry Street Pub because some huge-ass female bouncer thought he was getting a little too fresh with the pretty leather boys.

Sam's brother had no taste, and no ability whatsoever to keep himself out of trouble for more than fifteen seconds if left alone. Sometimes, Sam wondered how he'd survived this long.

"Dean," Sam said slowly, "they rent by the hour. I've seen two hookers, a transvestite, and some guy getting a blow-job. From where you parked us at the front office. Dude. There's gotta be some kind of police raid right on top of this place, and we're already on the run."

The state trooper who'd pulled them over between Gray and Millidgeville and sounded like something out of Deliverance should have been serious encouragement to get a little further away from the South.

Seriously.

"C'mon, Sammy. What's the worst that could happen?"

And that was when Sam knew they were doomed.
From: [identity profile] scribblinlenore.livejournal.com
"C'mon, Sammy. What's the worst that could happen?"

Oh, Dean! Baby. Haven't you learned to stop asking questions like that by now? Sam is right. They are *so* doomed. *bg*

Thanks for playing, doll!

It's such a WRONG question to be asking. Dean, Dean, Dean.

*LOVES* =D
From: [identity profile] tzi.livejournal.com
He ♥ Glad you liked it. It's most unfortunate that... while I have an inner-Dean?? I have no inner-Sam. Mostly, the inner-Dean thinks that Sam is a whiny-ass crybaby. ^_____~
