Calling all Profit and Adrian Pasdar fans! At brunch this weekend,
linaerys and I agreed that there really should be a community for this show, and thanks to her initiative, now it exists:
boxofwrong
It's for all things Profit. So come post stories, icons, talk about eps, or simply drool over the badass hotness that is Jim Profit. And please pimp!

Date: 2007-03-05 05:46 pm (UTC)And... *nods* Lin is going to post an announcement to all the Heroes/Pasdar communities as soon as she's had a chance to get the layout the way she wants it. Hopefully, we will have some dirtybadwrong discussion and stories to read come out of this. :)

Date: 2007-03-06 01:10 am (UTC)Not that I've ever seen the show, but hey. It sounded good and it was on special with Action, which I deeply loved, so all good!

Date: 2007-03-06 01:28 am (UTC)I hope you enjoy Profit! There are some goofy moments with seriously outdated technology and some of the ugliest clothes you'll ever see, but the tragic hotness of evil that is Jim Profit...well, that's timeless. :)

Date: 2007-03-06 07:29 am (UTC)Thought I might make use of the community to post some episode commentaries as I watch. If my brain can get past the "OMG! Adrian Pasdar naked in a box!" stage, that is. ;)
(Though really, apart from how visually stunning the naked-in-a-box shots are, there is so much content contained in that one detail of the show, and it places the viewer at such a vertiginous psychological precipice, that the naked hotness actually has very little to do with why it stays with you. It's just...such a box of wrong!)

Date: 2007-03-06 05:16 pm (UTC)Hee! That is one of the great universal truths!
There's some seriously out-of-date technology and ugly clothes that make a person giggle when rewatching the show, but the story itself? Oh, my! Jim Profit has to be one of the most fascinating characters ever to make it onto television. I watched the DVDs and then rewatched all the eps with some friends, and the second time around, I was sad all over again that there wasn't going to be any more. It's just a shame it didn't come out ten years later, because it would most certainly be the darling of Showtime or HBO.
I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the eps!

Date: 2007-03-06 05:52 pm (UTC)You know, now that I have the eps on my computer, I could actually upload them to somewhere and post the download links in the community. That should be a safer, more reliable way for people to get them. I'll get on to doing that.

Date: 2007-03-06 05:24 pm (UTC)Out-dated technology and ugly 90s clothes not withstanding, I highly recommend the show!
