Peoples reading the Bric-a-Brac Kid verse: Rodney's baby needs naming. John and Rodney have already agreed that her middle name will be Sheppard and her last name McKay since, as Rodney likes to remind John, he did all the hard work.
But they can't come to any kind of agreement on the first name, so they need your help!

Date: 2007-04-02 08:05 pm (UTC)I like Meredith as a name and keep giggling over Jeannie coming in to a room saying "Hi Mere!" and having both Rodney and Kid McShep reply. It's unusual but not out-there. But then, Rodney insisted that Meredith is also a boy's name, so naming his daughter M might be inconsistent. Besides, she's already going to be a McKay. Might be more reasonable to have named Joanna. (No, I'm not really suggesting that. Though Jianna, a form of Johna, is pretty.)
Hope is cheesy, Alisia is too precious, Eleanor isn't precious enough, Alice is kinda blah. But then, so is John. Er, the name, that is. ;) Amelia for a pilot's daughter? Dude, Earhart disappeared, likely shot down. Not so much. Raina means Queen (you know, here on earth) and the only Raina I know has a rather regal disposition, so
I can't knock it too hardthat's ok I guess. Emma is also blah but could reasonably be in honor of both Elizabeth and Teyla (and by that token, also for any other E or 'ah' -named person).I've just spent way too much time thinking about this. So hurry up and finish writing the fic so I can read it already!
