scribblinlenoreI wanted to thank everyone who has sent me well wishes. I'm feeling much better and hope to be able to answer messages individually soon. To further my recovery, I thought: A poll. That's just what I need! Because dreaming up John-and-Rodney scenarios is very healing. *g*

Rodney McKay Superstar. After a major discovery, academic diva Rodney is the newly crowned king of the physics world. Not everyone is a fan apparently, because Rodney starts to get threatening letters, each one more disturbing than the last. John is the bodyguard hired to keep him safe, who ultimately finds that sticking close to Rodney is exactly where he wants to be. There's danger! Intrigue! We-really-shouldn't-be-doing-this sex!
Sheppard, the Barbarian. Rodney is a Roman engineer dispatched to Britannia to oversee the construction of a new road. John is the rebellious Celtic leader who takes Rodney hostage. Rodney's fears of torture fade as he becomes part of daily tribal life, and he soon learns that Sheppard is far from uncivilized, except in the most pleasing of ways. There's historical inaccuracy! Enemies turned lovers! Virginal-Rodney-sex!
The Imperfect Storm. Mathematician-turned-yacht-designer Rodney has a lot riding on his latest design. He hires daredevil skipper John to sail the yacht in the big Around the World race. It's just Rodney's luck to discover that John is attracted to him the night before the race is to begin. Their relationship develops through radio conversations, and at every port of call, Rodney is waiting with a hot meal and a warm bed. There's danger on the high seas! Ship-to-shore radio banter! Oh-God-don't-get-yourself-killed sex!
Brokeback Dude Ranch. Corporate executive Rodney is hardly pleased when his company sends him on a week-long roughing-it excursion to "develop some teamwork skills." Dude ranch owner John has seen some unlikely cowboys in his day, but Rodney takes the cake. Still, on an overnight camping trip, the two get close in ways they never would have predicted. There's one very, very small tent! Horseback riding! Under-the-stars-in-big-sky-country sex!
Burn Notice McShep. John is a spy who just got burned. Rodney is the genius scientist he seduced once upon a time into giving him information. When John begs for help finding out who burned him, Rodney reluctantly agrees. As they work together, John learns just how much he hurt Rodney all those years ago, and Rodney realizes that John's seduction of him wasn't entirely an act. There's a mystery to solve! Bad guys in bad suits! I'm-not-sure-I-trust-you-but-you're-really-hot sex!

Date: 2007-09-13 10:17 am (UTC)I just found out that you have been sick but are now, thankfully, better. Due to my work schedule I have not been able to follow lj very much in the last few months. I did read and comment on your finish of the lovely "My Name is Al". Thank you very much for that, again.
Even though I am quite late with my good wishes, I do send you some and hope that you will have a speedy and complete recovery.
