I'm toying with the idea of doing an advent thing again, only with fannish tropes instead of holiday themes, since I pretty much exhausted all my holiday inspiration last year. It all depends on how busy I am. But even if I don't, I thought it would be fun to see which fannish tropes are people's favorites. Hence a poll! In three parts due to length.

Oh, right, sorry, you call it tropes instead of cliches and suddenly it's all respectable. I think Jack will go back in time and have sex with Jack now. Not that that hasn't been written fifteen thousand times already, but I just haven't read it, because I don't know any of the comms... so it's new to me ;-D

My theory is that you take all those vocab quizzes in high school for a reason. So you can use your word power to rationalize things later in life! *g*

You sound like serialkarma! I'm like, "Bring on the Torchwood fic!" And she's like, "Good luck." There must be something though? Yis? Why not?! There are 3000 people in that Torchwood comm, which was a bit startling to me, there has to be something.
