I chose the soap opera one. You could even take the current Noah/Luke (a.k.a. "Nuke") storyline from As the World Turns, where Noah's homophobic father (a Colonel in... the Army? I think it was the Army) not only killed Noah's biological mother (a madam who was blackmailing another character, Allison, to make her appear in more porn movies), but pretended to be accepting of Noah and Luke's relationship and then shot Luke, who is now paralyzed! (But I doubt he'll be that way for long: this is a daytime soap.)

that was a very difficult decision! i can't believe i picked hurt/comfort over mpreg. of course hurt/comfort can be related to mpreg, for example when mohinder discovers that his seekrit new power involves being able to get pregnant :D
