I chose the soap opera one. You could even take the current Noah/Luke (a.k.a. "Nuke") storyline from As the World Turns, where Noah's homophobic father (a Colonel in... the Army? I think it was the Army) not only killed Noah's biological mother (a madam who was blackmailing another character, Allison, to make her appear in more porn movies), but pretended to be accepting of Noah and Luke's relationship and then shot Luke, who is now paralyzed! (But I doubt he'll be that way for long: this is a daytime soap.)

Yes, yes! I only know about the Nuke from my flist, but I've seen the kissing and the scene where they're wet (oh, baby!) and scenes from the hospital. That would make a PERFECT high school AU John/Rodney soapish melodrama. Whee!
