Strange. It is weird to see the lengths people will go for attention and friends.

Seriously, don't they realize that the friends they make by lying don't really like them, they like a lie? It just seems incredibly unfulfilling, let alone completely unconscionable.

There are no circumstances I can think of, where stealing someone else's work could be explained, or made to be ok.

It makes me wonder: Did they think no one would notice? Did they think that because she had passed it would be easy, and that no one would notice or fight back? If so, then that is even more horrible than the action itself.

thamiris was greatly loved by many in fandom, and still is. There is no way this could have escaped notice. Sure thamiris isn’t here to defend herself any longer, but there are plenty of friends and others who can tell right from wrong who are.

The whole thing is just incredibly stupid.

well, the post in QUESTION (the story at least) is now either a "protected entry" or has been pulled as you can no longer get to it. I don't know if people were just flagging IT, or the WHOLE JOURNAL.

i would suggest flagging the whole journal to LJ_abuse and see what happens. I tried, but don't have enough links/support knowledge of Thamiris' journal entries to make a case.

I'm *shaking*, I'm so angry right now, Lenore. And I'm unhappy that work kept me so busy today that I didn't get a chance to give him a piece of my mind before he started locking everything down. :( I remember reading Thamiris' journal a little while after her death, and I was so, so upset afterwards -- such a brilliant mind and such a great personality -- and I'd never even gotten the chance to interact with her or anything.

So disappointing to see this. And actually a little fuckin' creepy as the person copy and pasted random comments TOGETHER -- which, what, implies that he spent a lot of time doing something so...negative and destructive!

From the look of his journal all he wants now is all the attention his bad deed has done.
The stuff has been pulled. His LJ reported, I think the most hurtful thing people could do to him now is just pretend he doesn't exist and certainly doesn't matter enough to bother with. I hope his little execution speech post (which is the only thing I can see left of his LJ) just gets no comments and his LJ dies a sad and lonely death, unnoticed.
