I have seen none of the new shows of the season yet, and I still haven't seen Firefly (shame on me!), but I just had to say... You made a poll with ticky boxes! You're cheating on the radio buttons! There will be jealousy and heartbreak!

I'm also pondering whether I want Harkness or Sheppard in charge. I think John is actually more likely to save the world and keep the people in his care alive (if only through accident, stubbornness and the surprising ability to attract awesome people to be in charge of), but Jack makes a much more gorgeous and flashy production of being leader. Which is to say, I think Jack loves being top dog, while John works hard to be good at it while dreaming of being on his knees. Which makes me think that, personally, I'd rather be under Sheppard's command.

If you're asking who my favourite is, though, I love them both equally, in all their queer space hero glory.

two clarifications: my favorite relationship on firefly is the one between simon and river, but i don't see it as a romantic relationship. i just stick to canon with this one [and the canon relationship they have is surely intensely enough, imo].

also, i voted for pushing daisies because i think it's the most innovative new show. i really adore sarah connor chronicles, too.

Whyfor was this poll so hard? It was! It was very hard. Choosing between Mal and Jack is like choosing between sex and sex. I can't choose between sex and sex! Jack would totally break my heart and leave, but then he'd come back and we'd have awesome sex, while Mal would just leave me frustrated all the time until we nearly died and then there was sex. You see how difficult this was? Plus, hello, it's mean not to have check boxes for a favorite show! I love Chuck! And GG! And Terminator! And Mad Men, but in a different way. Also, I just started watching Weeds. Have you seen Weeds before? OMG! Tis so good!

What's your favorite new show of the season?

Moonlight! The only other ones I gave a try were Pushing Daisies (cute, but didn't grab my interest) and Chuck (SO not my show). Everyone and their dogs seem to be talking about The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which I had never heard of, so I might have to watch that one of these days. Also, Life. Not that I know what these two are about, but judging by my never-wrong flist, they must be good.

THANK YOU! All the people on my flist who like TW are horrified by Tom Cruise so they're like no, they don't look alike at all! The very first time I watched TW (uh, two weeks ago) that was my very first thought seeing Barrowman.
