4,000 hits. Wow. Just wow. What an amazing accomplishment.

I have to admit, though, that I wasn't watching. I've been a bad Yankees fan this year. It's not that the team has been losing. It's that I don't even recognize them as my team. In pretty much every game, there's someone who comes up to bat or in to pitch, and I'm like: Who the hell is that? The most fun I had at the ballpark this year was at a Mets game watching Matt Harvey pitch.

Is it hockey season yet?

I haven't watched much TV this summer. Teen Wolf came back on and I just...had no interest in tuning in. I caught one episode of Rizzoli and Isles, and I enjoyed it, but then I kept forgetting it was on. I have caught up on some British shows--Broadchurch, The Fall, Luthor--and I've been making use of my Amazon Prime free instant videos to watch many episodes of Trial and Retribution.

Have there been any commercials for new fall shows? I can't remember any. Is it just me or has TV been largely disappointing the past few seasons? I mean, I adore Elementary, and I like POI very much. I watch Castle and sometimes enjoy it. I'm excited about new seasons of Ripper Street, Haven, and Whitechapel whenever they come along. I can't really think of anything else.

So what are you guys watching? What do you recommend? Are there any upcoming shows you're excited about?

Oooh, Whitechapel! I fall asleep watching the second series fairly often, and I'm really looking forward to the new season as well. Esp after the last episode of the third season.

Summer brings some of the reality shows that I like, including Face Off and American Ninja Warrior, and I feel like in the next week or two, possibly when the new EW magazine hits my mailbox, I'll need to pull out my calendar and highlighter to decide what I'll be watching. I'm looking forward to Agents of SHIELD and Elementary and Castle are shows that make my heart glad.

I mainlined on Broadchurch because I didn't want to be spoiled with what happened (and then the end made me :() but it was good, and I'm interested to see what next season will bring.

As for recommendations -- Please Like Me was an amusing (and relatively short) Australian comedy, and it aired on Pivot TV/is on iTunes. And on the British side of things, have you see The Bletchley Circle?

Oh, Agents of SHIELD! How could I have forgotten about that? I have high hopes for it. I just added The Bletchley Circle to my Netflix queue. It looks awesome. And I'll also check out Please Like Me. Thanks so much for the recs!

And no sooner had I posted my comment when I saw on EW.com that Joss and SHIELD are the cover story for this week :D

The Bletchley Circle was awesome (and another one where there will be a second season! Huzzah!) And I discovered that one of the main actresses is Diana Rigg's daughter, which made her even MORE awesome.

There's been a dearth of great TV, I think, though maybe it's because I don't quite tune in as much as some folks do, so I might just be missing it. Still, one I do have to recommend is Orange is the New Black, on Netflix, if you have it. Fascinating, women-centered, good storytelling, interesting characters. I quite enjoyed it.

Same here. I mean, I can be/am excited over Teen Wolf, just because I like Dylan O'Brien so much (and try ignoring how very, very young he is), but not the same as it use to be. I also miss LJ/DW kind of interaction, Tumblr just isn't the same for 'meeting' people and making friends.

In the fall I'm looking forward to Agents of SHIELD, as well as Elementary; The Good Wife maybe. Mostly, though, as we discussed on Twitter, I dread being cut off from everything.
