I've been curious about what people's bannish preferences are, and it's Friday, and I thought: Hey, why not a poll? For my friends who are muttering "dear God, here we go about bandom again," I have a special question just for you. :)
Also, I wanted to thank
sanami276 for the icon I'm using. It's lovely and it makes me happy and thank you!

Date: 2008-10-03 11:29 pm (UTC)Gerard IS charming - but what makes me love him so very much is that it isn't a calculated charm. It's just HIM. And he's very very pretty and a HUGE dork and insanely hot and adorably earnest and principled and extraordinarily talented and... ::flails wordlessly:: And then I find out about something like this (http://rosiespark.livejournal.com/82530.html?nc=8) and I just about DIE of squee.
I'm also completely charmed by Frank Iero and his craziness on stage, particularly in the early days, and his completely obvious adoration of Gerard - watch him during interviews. Slashy or not, there's no denying those two love each other!
And I'm very fond of Mikey and his sneaky sense of humour teamed with a totally deadpan delivery. This snippet (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=X3uQeaG0OzM&feature=PlayList&p=F0037B3A3D99DFF4&index=8) always cracks me up.
I have an MCR music post here (http://rosiespark.livejournal.com/82717.html?nc=3) which you might find interesting. :)

The thing that charmed me the most in the interview I saw was his recounting a story from their first tour, how here was a rock star, and he was still uncool, still feeling like the kid in black sitting at the back of the classroom. And he had this moment getting ready before a show, washing his face, and he looked in the mirror and realized he was always going to be uncool. And now he's really glad he's not cool. He pretty much hates the idea of cool. And he was just so lovely and earnest and obviously sincere, and I thought about all the misfit kids who would hear that and be heartened by it, and as a former misfit kid myself, I really could not have loved him more.
Thanks so much for the links! I'm so excited to hear more of their music and also the commentary on The Black Parade.
